"Do we have a deal?"
It was such a simple question, one that should've been an easy yes too, yet Melody found herself hesitating.
Her brain (oddly in the voice of Sebastian) told her that this was wrong. He'd tell her she should be staying away from the ocean, not turning herself into it's inhabitant, especially when the spell was going to be cast at the hands of some woman she only recently met, and gosh, just what would her parents say about this when they found out what she had done?
But Melody was selfish and always had been, and probably always would be. She chose her heart, and her heart had always belonged to the ocean.
What seemed like an eternity was only a few seconds before the young human finally gave her answer to the sea witch, and it made Uliana smile, her eyes glinting like a eagle that had caught it's prey. Oh, how she lived to regret those four words...
