The afternoon sun cast long shadows as Tony and Chloe stood outside the middle school, waiting for Jane to emerge. The school day had ended, and the air was filled with the excited chatter of students spilling out of the building, eager to share the details of their first day.

Tony squeezed Chloe's hand, giving her a reassuring smile. "She's going to have so much to tell us."

Chloe nodded, her eyes scanning the crowd for their daughter. "I hope she had a good day. Middle school can be tough."

Just then, they spotted Jane making her way through the throng of students, her backpack bouncing with each step. Her face lit up when she saw her parents, and she hurried over, her excitement palpable.

"Mom! Dad! You won't believe how cool my teachers are!" Jane exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "We did this science experiment today, and my history teacher told us all these amazing stories about ancient Egypt!"

Tony chuckled, ruffling her hair. "Sounds like you had a great first day, kiddo."

Chloe smiled warmly, wrapping an arm around Jane's shoulders. "I'm so glad to hear that, sweetheart. Tell us more about your day on the way home."

As they walked to the car, Jane chattered non-stop, recounting every detail of her classes, new friends, and the fun activities she had participated in. Chloe and Tony listened, their hearts swelling with pride and relief at seeing their daughter so happy and engaged.

When they reached the car, Chloe's phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out, glancing at the screen. The number was unfamiliar, but she answered anyway, curiosity piqued.

"Hello?"

"Hi, is this Chloe?" a professional-sounding voice on the other end asked.

"Yes, this is she. Who's calling?"

"This is Rebecca Mills from Horizon Pictures. I'm reaching out regarding a potential project we'd like to discuss with you and the rest of the original group from the events of 2000."

Chloe's heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Tony, who raised an eyebrow in question. "I'm sorry, can you repeat that?"

Rebecca continued, her tone serious but enthusiastic. "We're interested in producing a movie based on the events that you, Jonathan, Ruthy, and Gape experienced in 2000. We'd like to meet with all of you to discuss the details and see if you'd be willing to collaborate on the project."

Chloe's mind raced. The events of 2000 had been a pivotal, harrowing time in their lives. The thought of those experiences being turned into a movie was both thrilling and daunting.

"Wow, this is... unexpected," Chloe said, trying to keep her voice steady. "When and where would this meeting take place?"

"We'd like to arrange a meeting as soon as possible," Rebecca replied. "Are you available to come to our studio in Los Angeles next week? We can cover all travel and accommodation expenses."

Chloe hesitated, then nodded, even though Rebecca couldn't see her. "I think we can make that work. I'll need to talk to the others, but I'm sure they'll be interested."

"Wonderful. I'll send you an email with all the details. Thank you, Chloe. We're really excited about this project and can't wait to hear your insights."

Chloe ended the call, her mind still whirling with the unexpected news. She turned to Tony, who was watching her with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"What was that about?" he asked.

Chloe took a deep breath, trying to process everything. "That was a movie agency. They want to make a film about what happened in 2000. They want to meet with all of us—Jonathan, Ruthy, Gape, and me—to discuss it."
