Dear Diary,
I wanted to start this because I'm a blabbermouth and can't keep secrets. I can't tell my family or friends, so I have to tell someone! I hope just writing it down helps.
I had another talk with Lucian and Leo after church this week. When he told me last week that I could be in danger because of the mafia stuff, he started working to make sure I'd be protected. His best friend Enzo has a family member that'll be helping me out as a bodyguard.
I'm actually kinda scared. That's a pretty common trope in some of my favorite Wattpad stories. What if he's super handsome and we start falling for each other and there's a love triangle between me, him, and Leo?
Oh and I'm gonna add fun pregnancy stuff to this, too! I'm six weeks along today and I threw up twice this morning. My bff Rosie and I are going shopping today to get ideas for baby stuff. I know it's really early but I'm supposed to deliver at 30 weeks, which means there's only 6 months left! Gotta run! Rosie just pulled up.

"Sunny! Your ride is here!" Aunt Linda hollered from downstairs.
"I know! Be right there!" I said, grabbing my purse.
I put on some flip flops and dashed out the door. I got into Rosie's car and turned towards her.
"Can you see it?" I asked, pointing to my super little baby bump.
"A little," she said. "Now let's go waste some money!"
We got to Target, made a trip to Starbucks (of course) and then grabbed a cart before heading to the baby section. I wanted to focus on getting things one size and category at a time. So first, we'd be starting with preemie clothes. I was so excited.
"Everything is so little and cute!" I said.
"I'm surprised you wanted to start with the clothes first, especially since you don't know what they are," Rosie said.
"If I stick with some gender neutral stuff, we can just mix and match!" I said, picking up the first pack of bodysuits I found. One was light green, the other was gray, and the last one was white with moons and stars on it. "These are pretty cute. Only ten bucks for the three."
"Drop it in!" Rosie said excitedly.
I tossed it into the cart, and got another one. Grammy gave me a fifty dollar gift card and told me to "go nuts." We found some hats, and I bought two, three-packs of those. A four-pack of plain white bodysuits, and that was it. The whole gift card.
"Wow. Babies are pretty expensive aren't they? We only have ten onesies and six hats and it costs fifty dollars," I said, taking a breath.
There was no way I was going to panic. Our church was going to help us out bigtime. There was absolutely no reason to get worried. We'd have plenty of stuff and plenty of help.
"Well Sunny, I've got to tell you, we can't leave here with just these things. Let's go around the corner here," Rosie said, taking the cart. I followed her to the stroller aisle, where she stopped in front of the only double stroller they had. It was the complete travel system, with the car seats included. "I know you'll need two of these, but let me buy you the first one."
"Rosie, that's five-hundred dollars! I know you got a lot of overtime at your summer job, but—"
"But you were by my side when I thought I was going to die of cancer. You were the only one, Sunny. What you did for me was priceless, and I know in my heart that it meant so much to me, that I feel like there's nothing I can ever do to repay you. But you know what? I can buy you this stroller."
"Aww, you're gonna make me cry! Don't ever feel like you have to repay me! That's what friends are for," I said, looking down at the floor. "I'd feel guilty if you spent all that money on me."
When I looked up I saw her heaving and hoeing to pick up that box, which she definitely couldn't do by herself. She tracked down a nearby worker to help her, and he placed it on top of our cart.
After that we went back to my house, where Rosie and Luna had to take the travel system out of the car in pieces since it was so heavy. I kept a list on my phone of everything I had so far, and it occurred to me that we'd need a lot of stuff. Like...a lot more than this.
I spent the rest of the week working at the summer program with Leo. This year I was given the preschool and kindergarten age group, which was the youngest group that did the all-day program. It was a little bit overwhelming, and I was really jealous that Leo got put with the very low-maintenance high-schoolers. Thankfully the rest of the staff were really helpful, and I was still able to bend down. There were so many stinking shoes to tie.
That weekend, it wasn't my rotation to help in the nursery, or for Leo to help with security, so we got to sit in the chapel and watch the service together. Lucian gave a sermon about mistakes and forgiveness.
"Now as a pastor, I am an honest man," he said at the end of the sermon. "If there is something going on, yes, I will tell you. I don't like to not address rumors, especially if they are regarding my family. As many of you heard, yes, I am in fact going to be a grandfather. My son Leo, and his girlfriend Sunny, who as you know is new to our congregation, are expecting." There was a mixture of gasps, cheers, and clapping. I think no one knew how to react. "And it is quadruplets!"
Everyone who wasn't cheering was cheering now. "Now, many pastors would feel some shame, which I'd be lying if I said I didn't, but we cannot change our past. We can only look at our present and look at our future. Sunny told me she sees this as a huge blessing, and I see it the same way."
From there, he went through the announcements, one of which was going to be the garage sale in two weeks to raise money for Leo and I. Once the announcements were done and we were dismissed, a few different people came up to us, asking questions and wishing us the best. These people barely knew me and were already so willing to help. I saw it as a beautiful thing.
As we were chatting with everyone, Lucian put his hand on my shoulder. I turned around to him.
"We can head down to my office. There's someone I'd like you to meet," he said.
I nodded and we left the chapel. He told me my bodyguard would be meeting me today. I was really excited, but also nervous. I couldn't imagine if this really did turn out like one of those Wattpad stories. I was going to be a busy mommy. I don't have time for love triangles.
