At the mention of the word a young man suddenly appeared out of thin air. He was the epitome of dark allure, with sharp, symmetrical features that could have been carved from marble. His platinum blond hair, slicked back meticulously, complimenting his piercing blue eyes that seemed to glow with a predatory intensity. The sunlight, which should have been his bane, seemed to bend to his will, illuminating his pale flawless complexion rather than harming it. High cheekbones and a strong jawline framed a mouth curled into a smug, knowing smile. Clad in simple, well-fitted clothes-a plain white shirt and blue jeans, he screamed power and confidence, making him a figure of irresistibility and attractiveness.

Ivy had never had direct contact with any supernatural beings, but she was aware that vampires weren't meant to be out in the sunlight, thanks to all the things John had told her and the numerous books she had read about them. It was their greatest weakness. Ivy observed the vamp strolling toward them with confidence and a sly smile on his handsome face.

Frustration soon seeped into her, but the strange energy within her chest grew. Ivy has always felt as though there was something more inside of her ever since she was a small child. It had the sensation of an odd energy that was half asleep and half awake. It was no more than a slight pounding that frequently occurred in her chest but after a little thumping, it would return to slumber.

"Issi I was just thinking about you. You're looking quite splendid as always." The vampire glanced Ivy's way with a curious expression.

Ivy's frustration mounted as the wind continued to speed up, scattering her dark brown hair in every direction. Aside from the fact that this vampire was slowing things down and exuding an odd feeling, she was exhausted and just wanted to find a place to lay down. Ivy definitely didn't like him. She threw a glare his way. Isabel mirrored her emotions and some tension left her body. It seemed that Isabel was familiar with the vampire but Ivy remained vigilant.

"You know Jace one of these days when you're parading around in the sun like a fool that crack that you're on will run out then you'll be set ablaze leaving only ashes behind which I will gladly dispose of." Isabel growled. Jace took his eyes of Ivy for a moment chuckling.

Oh so he was taking something to shield him from the sun Ivy thought. Interesting.

"Oh I'll set you ablaze any day Issi but do introduce me to your friend here" Jace gaze found Ivy again. "She smells absolutely delectable." he licked his lips hungrily. Isabel growled. "Move along bloodsucker we have places to be."
"Oh but I must get to know your salty friend here." Jace smiled placing a cold pale hand on Ivy. Isabel growled again taking a threatening step towards Jace. The energy inside her pounded slightly.

"Get off!" Ivy snarled and threw the vampire's hand away from her, causing a furious gust of wind to propel him into a tree. The tree snapped and tumbled backward, and Jace groaned. Both Isabel and Ivy blinked as they stared at her hand. She hadn't really used that much force, surely. Ivy stood perplexed, contemplating the damage done and the sudden appearance of a strong gust of wind.

The wind...it wasn't there before when Isabel found her but as she walked becoming slightly wearier and annoyed at her situation the wind seemed to appear out of nowhere but grew with her every frustrated step she took.

"Whoa, that's quite some force you got in you girl." Jace, who appeared unfazed and was now standing up, said while starting at Ivy with deep interest, Isabel, who had now snapped out of her trance like state, growled once more with golden eyes ready to advance towards Jace. Her wolf was coming to the surface, Ivy knew that much.

Jace held is hands up then vanished. Vampire speed, Ivy would have to get used to it now that she was out in the world. The real word, the thought brought back images of John to her mind and panicked sneaked up on her at the thought of the witches. They could be sensing her presence right now and tracking her down.

Isabel cleared her throat which pulled Ivy out of her depressing thoughts. "We still have quite the way to go and you don't look so good so I will have to carry you there. It will be much quicker and better for you." Isabel gave Ivy a gentle expectant look.

Ivy had never ridden a wolf before, but she was once more powerless to protest-her legs were extremely weak and numb, and her head had begun to pound immediately after the encounter with Jade. She considered the idea of Isabel harming her once more, and once more it dawned on her that if Isabel had truly wanted to injure her, she would have done it by now.

Ivy nodded slightly. Isabel flashed a radiant smile. "Great." Isabel smiled then began taking off her top. Ivy shot her a bewildered look. "Oh, I kinda like this top but I love these shorts. I wouldn't want to rip them really." With a grin, Isabel answered. Ivy had often wondered if wolves actually tore their garments off or if it was just a smooth change.

When Isabel stood there, confident in the nudity of which she was born, Ivy glanced away swiftly. Ivy was unaccustomed to seeing naked people, even though they were both female. Her thoughts of a smooth transition came to an abrupt stop with the sound of cracking bones.

Soft fur tickled Ivy's foot. She to the side and sure enough Isabel's sunshiny presence was replaced with a graceful wolf that was not quite huge yet could not be called small. Her coat was a striking golden brown that glimmered in the sunlight, with hues that blend seamlessly into its natural surroundings. Her fur was dense and lustrous, providing both warmth and camouflage. Her yellow eyes were glued to Ivy.

Ivy took an involuntary, slightly surprised, step back. It was a sight as strangely beautiful as it was predatory-she had never seen a wolf before. With a wolfish smile, Isabel lowered herself to let Ivy on.

Ivy gazed momentarily before her exhausted body yielded. Her life had undoubtedly changed in the course of a single day, but was good ahead of her or was her slowly sinking like she did in the ocean?

The wind was still there, and it felt like forever that Ivy's hair was blowing. Isabel was swift though Ivy wished they could just teleport. Isabel eventually came to a stop.

Finally! Ivy's heart dance with relief amidst the pounding.

Ivy frowned at the blurry vision of trees and faint lights before her. The earthy aroma of moist soil, the fresh, green notes of vegetation, and the subtle, resinous fragrance of pine cedar, and for trees invaded her nostril. Her head was in a pounding race with her heart.

Before she knew it, she was falling sideways, and darkness slowly caressed her blurry vision.

Ivy hit the ground with a thud.

The darkness consumed her.
