“My lady, the marquess is waiting. He is hoping to see you at lunch.” Oh, I looked at Perie. I forgot about it.

“Right. I forgot.”

I stood up and Perie opened the door for me, we walked until we reached the dining room. Here we go again, I sighed.

“Lady Vexana Aurelithea is entering.” Foyroid announced. I step foot inside.

I curtsy.

“Good noon, father, brothers.”

Like I normally do, I sat down across vansel. The food was already on the table, we ate in silence.

Or not.

“What happened yesterday, vexana? Why didn't you eat dinner?” Vans asked me, the Heir.

“I was just tired yesterday, brother.”

I simply answered as I don't want to talk to them.

“I heard you’re invited to Lady Mackerels tea party?” Even that he knows? Tss, who is your source.

“Yes. She invited me, yesterday.”

Wait. Is he also..? What if?

“How did you know, brother?”

He.. smiled. Creepy! “I heard it from the ladies outside, I did not intend to listen but they're voice was just loud.”

Tch. Crazy bastard.

“Hm, kasalanan pala nilang chismoso ka.” I whispered only I can hear.

“Did you say something, vexana?” He looked at me confused.

I shook my head. “No, brother.”

We stayed silent after that. This is what I want. Silence, peace.

“I’m going first, father, brothers.” I stood up.

I curtsy before leaving. See? We can eat in silence naman pala e.

“Perie..”

“My lady, are you ill?” I shook my head.

“Why?”

“You’re smirking while coming out of the door. Are you happy with something?” She asked. I nodded.

“We ate in silence. I appreciated it. Well, not fully silence, but It was fine.”

She smiled. ”I’m glad.”

“Should I get ready for the tea party? What time will it start?”

“It says here that, the tea party will start at 3 pm. It's still early, my lady.” Perie answered me, we went back into my chamber.

“Hm, okay. I’ll just stay here and read.” I got myself a book and Perie prepared me a tea.

“You should also sit, Perie. Read a book or sleep, I’m not going anywhere.” She nodded. She got herself a book too, and brewed another tea. We sat in silence and read books.

This is our hobby, sometimes we crochet. She once gifted me a crochet plushie, and I loved it. Up until now, I still have it with me.

“Perie.. Is the Duke's estate far?”

“Oh, from here.. I would say, yes.” She answered me.

“How long will it take?”

She estimated the time. “Fifty minutes or less, my lady.”

That long?

“When should we get ready?”

She looks at the clock. “It is still early, I would get you ready at 1:50, my lady.”
