I lay my head on Melanie's lap as a waterfall of tears flow down my cheeks. I was so broken by Ethan that I could not think straight. But neither could I belive it. How could he have cheated on me? I thought he loved me. Well I still loved him.

"Don't worry Lola, you'll be fine. Don't think about that piece of shit, he was never good for you anyways." Melanie said as she caressed my head. I felt that all she was saying in her mind was 'I told you so' to me because I knew she never liked Ethan from the start. Now I see why, he was a player yes, but she he still loved me. I just knew it.

It took me a while to adjust, to heal, but I was not fully healed. I still was not over him. I had not attended my classes for a whole week and when professor Jenkins, my favorite lecturer who was friends with my mom approached me about it, I started attending classes again, afraid that she would inform my mom about everything.

I sat there, blankly staring at the professor's mouth, trying my best to force my brain to listen and process everything he was saying but it failed. Until it was over. Exhausted, I slammed my head on the desk and decided to forget my worries by sleeping. Until I heard a voice, "You aight?" I snapped my head up to see who it was. I was met with Damien, who was a friend yes, but mostly Melanie's. "Yeah, yeah, I'm great." I said rapidly as I fixed myself to convince him. "Really? Cause you don't...you look like you haven't slept in days," he finally said. I grinned at him as if what he was wrong. "Whaaaat? I slept alright. And I sleep maybe even ten hours a day." I forced a laugh. His face was bewildered but I think he knew that something wasn't alright with me so he just smiled and nodded. "Cool, I'mma go, then..." he gestured.

"Yes, yes, I'll be leaving soon too."

"Aight, goodbye."

"Bye." I waved as he walked off. As soon as he was out of sight, my heart relaxed in relief and I took a deep breath which eventually caused tears to start falling down my face again. I was not taking the break up pretty well.

"Heyyyy honey, how was class?" Melanie eagerly asked as she gave me a tight hug. "It was...alright." I sighed. "Alright?" she asked as we walked in our room.

"Yeah, kinda. Melanie, I can't even understand the lecture anymore."

"Whoa, we need to empty your mind girl."

"I know, and worst thing, Damien saw me about to break down and then he started pressurizing me with questions."

"Did you tell him?"

"No, how could I?"

"Ethan's an asshole and I'm gonna get back at him matter what but right now, we need to clear your mind babes."

"What do you mean, clear my mind? I just wanna sleep." I threw myself in my bed. "Nope, nothing like that's happening today. You can't even study because of that douche." Melanie pulled me up. "You need to have some fun and loosen up a bit, forget about that douchebag. C'mon, let's get you dressed."

"Noooo." I groaned but Melanie wasn't taking no for an answer. She pulled me up and made me wear a short black, leather skirt, a white crop top, a jacket and some sneakers. She did my hair and makeup and made sure she looked good to, when we were leaving out room, the sun was already setting so yeah, you can say we were going on a girl's night out.

"Where are you taking me, Mel?" I tiredly asked as she drove me someplace I wasn't familiar with. "Shhh, you'll see. Just sit back and relax." she said with a smile. I rolled my eyes and fell back on my seat, averting my eyes over to my window to get lost in my thoughts again. After minutes of driving, we approached a enormous building with the letters RWE on it. So many people surrounded it while others were entering and I honestly wondered what the hell it was because I would see the words RWE at school sometimes but never cared much to find out what it was. I glanced over at Melanie who had a soft smile on her face as she looked at my bewildered face.

"Melanie. Where are we?"

"We're at a basketball event, Lola."

"That's what this is?" I wasn't entirely satisfied because I wasn't a fan of basketball but I was shocked as to why she would bring me here knowing I hated it. "Look, I know you don't, like basketball but...this is a huge event for some of the guys at school including Dame so I thought you'd enjoy watching them play for something big like this. And I promise, when we're done, we'll do anything you want." she said. She had a look in her face as if she had brought me because she thought it would be supportive of me. I knew how much she liked Damien and that she would've done anything to get closer to him, so of course I decided to drop my ego and support her.

"No problem," I shook my head with a smile. "It'll help me get crap off my mind right? Then let's do it." I said and immediately got a hug I wasn't expecting. I just prayed she would get into a relationship with Damien.
