Training Begins

After several days of thinking about it, I make my way back to the lake where I met Adam for the first time. I look around the same spot I stood to see if I see him, but I do not. I take a deep breath and say, "Adam," in a low voice but, loud enough that I only hear.

"Y/N?" He says cheerfully. "You called for me?" He says behind me dressed in his exorcist outfit and mask on.

I get startled for a moment, "Yes, I did. I wanted to talk to you about being an exorcist."

He looks at me with an interested look on his face. "Have you made your decision?" He pauses. "Have you decided to join us?"

"I have been thinking about it and it sounds interesting." I sit on one of the logs.

"But?" Adam walks up to me and sits beside me.

I look at him and smile, "No buts. I am in. I want to do it. I thought about it and I want to do it. I want to help."

Adam gets extremely excited, "Yes! I knew you would be perfect to join us. Just so you know, it is not going to be easy. It is a lot of hard work. Are you prepared to go past your limits and comfort zone?"

"I am. I can do this. I want to do this." I say confidently and with a smile on my face.

"Alright then, tomorrow meet me at the Fields of Valor located in the southern part of Heaven. This is where we train. Be there at eight in the morning. Dress in comfortable workout clothes. I will see you then." Adam stands up and walks away. I stay sitting there a while longer. I get up and go to the department store in Heaven to look for workout clothes. Then I get some dinner at a little sandwich shop and I head home. Once home, I sit an eat in the livingroom, then head to bed.

Day One of Training 

Before I know it, it is morning, early morning. I get up and get dressed eating a very light breakfast. Afterwards, I make my way to the Fields of Valor. The expansive training ground is already bustling with activity as seasoned exorcists prepared for the day's challenges. I arrive, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and apprehension. As I get closer, I see Adam standing in his armor and mask standing waiting for me in his commanding yet welcoming presence.

"Good morning, Y/N," Adam greets with a warm smile. "Welcome to the Fields of Valor. Today marks the beginning of your journey as an exorcist."

I nod, trying to steady my nerves. "Thank you, Adam."

"Are you ready, Y/N?" Adam asks.

"Yes, I'm ready." I say with confidence.

"Great! Come on. Let me show you around." I nod my head and follow beside Adam. We walk through the training grounds, Adam points out various stations where exorcists hone their skills. The clang of weapons and the sound of battle cries fill the air. We approach a group of exorcists gathered around a large training mat.

Lute looks up and sees Adam walking up. A smile spreads across her face until she sees you walking beside him. Her eyes narrows slightly she sees you. Her thoughts are a mix of curiosity and skepticisms, 'Another recruit? Let's see if she's got what it takes.'

"Y/N, this is Lute," Adam introduces. "She is my best combat trainer and first lieutenant. She'll be assessing your skills today. But first, let's get you your armor and weapon. Come along, Y/N." Adam takes me to the armory. The room is filled with racks gleaming angelic armor and weapons.

An armorer steps forward, his eyes sizing you up. "We'll need to get you fitted for your armor," the armorer says, gesturing to a measuring station. "Stand here, please."
