3RD PERSON POV:

Hanni sat cross-legged on the rooftop, staring out at the sprawling city below. The faint echoes of the teacher's scolding still rang in her ears, gnawing at her ego. She clenched her jaw, her fiery temper simmering just beneath the surface. "This is the first time someone had the audacity to snitch on me," she thought bitterly, kicking a stray pebble off the ledge.

Her reputation had always been ironclad. Hanni was the untouchable troublemaker—the one nobody dared cross. Her classmates had learned to stay silent, fearing retaliation from the petite storm who could pack a punch strong enough to silence anyone brave—or foolish—enough to step out of line. But today was different. Today, someone had dared to stand against her, and the thought sent a surge of anger coursing through her veins.

She bit her nails aggressively, her mind replaying the humiliation, when her gaze landed on a familiar figure hidden behind a tree on the school grounds. Hanni smirked, tilting her head in amusement. Yunjin, the flawless and ever-composed vice president of the student council, was crouched behind the tree, furtively puffing on a cigarette.

Caught you, Hanni thought, her smirk widening into a mischievous grin. Standing up, she stretched, letting the wind tousle her hair before making her way down to the unsuspecting girl.

Yunjin froze when she spotted the short figure approaching her. Quickly, she dropped her cigarette, snuffing it out under the sole of her shoe with the subtlety of a toddler caught sneaking candy.

"Umm... Hanni, right?" Yunjin said nervously, her usual calm facade cracking. She knew Hanni's reputation all too well. The younger girl often found herself in the principal's office for her antics, and her name was synonymous with chaos.

Hanni chuckled, her gaze dropping to the ground before snapping back to Yunjin's uneasy eyes. "You know," she began, her voice low but laced with playful menace, "I just caught you red-handed, Miss VP."

Yunjin stiffened, the weight of her predicament sinking in. She couldn't let this get out—it would destroy the pristine image she'd carefully cultivated. "What do you want, Hanni?" she asked cautiously, bracing for the worst.

Hanni's grin widened. "Simple. A fistfight."

"A what?" Yunjin's voice cracked slightly.

"Don't look so shocked, unnie. If you win, I'll keep my mouth shut. But if I win..." Hanni let the threat dangle in the air, her mischievous eyes completing the sentence.

Yunjin sighed, her shoulders sagging in defeat. She didn't want to fight, but she couldn't risk her secret getting out. "Fine. Where and when?"

"Park near the station. 8 PM. And don't ditch me," Hanni said with a wink before sauntering off.

HAERIN POV:

The last school bell rang, but my mind was far from relieved. With my suitcase waiting for me at Hyein's house, I was officially homeless. I hadn't dared tell my aunt yet; I didn't want to feel more like a burden than I already did.

As Hyein and I walked home, I forced a smile, trying to act normal. But every step felt heavier, my thoughts spiraling into anxiety.

When we reached the house, I packed my belongings quickly, hugging Hyein tightly before stepping out into the unknown. My suitcase rolled noisily behind me as I wandered the unfamiliar streets, unsure of where to go.
