Chapter 5: Entourage
"So, you're the escort Caroline send for me to?" Elena asks as she checks this young man out who's standing right infront of her.
Almost six feet, green eyes, brown hair, probably have abs underneath his shirt, deep cheekbones and sharp jawline. She can't believe such handsome men actually work to escort women.
"Yes, I'm Stefan Salvatore. I'll be escorting you to the gala tonight." He smiles. Damn! That baby face. Elena swallows. Elena is a publisher of a very famous magazine in the city. There's a Gala that's going to happen tonight. Elena almost canceled it because she didn't want to go alone. She's recently got dumbed by his long time boyfriend. Caroline her best colleague told her to fuck that bastard off. He's also going to attend this gala. So, Caroline told her about this agency from where you can hire hot, dashing, handsome men as escorts.
"Hi, I'm Elena Gilbert" she says shaking her hands with Stefan. "Why don't I go and change and you can wait outside?" She asks. Stefan smiles and nods.
Elena is a simple girl so she likes everything simple. She even chooses a very normal dress to wear to that gala. As she comes out of her office, Stefan swallows hard. He knows he shouldn't check her out. She hired him for work and he's extremely professional. But he can't stop staring, that woman is damn beautiful. He keeps thinking about why she needs someone to be hired as her escort. Men should be lining up for her.
"Let's go" Elena smiles and he nods.
On the way Elena talks about basics. Stefan memorizes everything. "Miss Gilbert just to make sure you're only allowed to kiss me. And that's all." He reminds her. Elena laughs. "I don't think so I'm going to kiss you in the gala. You're just some date I brought. That's all you're to me." Elena says straight.
Stefan licks his lips and nods. "Don't get me wrong you're really gorgeous but I just... I just got out of a really bad relationship so I don't think..." Why is she talking about herself to this man. She doesn't even know him. She hired him for her own work. She doesn't have to explain anything to him. "I should just shut up" Elena says as she reaches to the gala.
Stefan gets out, fixing his suit. Elena fixes her dress. Stefan gives him his hand and she takes and smiles.
The gala is beautiful. They look around. Elena finds some of her colleagues so she excuses herself and Stefan completely understands.
"Who's that man you brought?" One of her colleagues asks her. Elena looks back to see Stefan sitting here on the stool drinking liquor.
"My date!" Elena says proudly. "Yeah but you broke up with Jace one week ago" she says. Elena wrinkles her eyebrows at her. How does she always know everything?
"So am I not allowed to date after my break up?" Elena asks. "Of course, she can" Caroline says from Elena's behind as she comes and hugs her. "Stefan is really beautiful. I'm so happy for her. I think you all should happy for her too" Caroline calls them out. They suddenly become uncomfortable. Elena thanks Caroline through her eyes, her colleagues leave.
"Oh God! Elena, he's so hot. Please tell me you're going to fuck him tonight?" Caroline grins. Elena rolls her eyes. "Of course, not. It's out of the contract and I'm not going to jump in bed for a man that I've known like two hours." Elena says. Sometimes Caroline can be really impossible.
Caroline huffs. "I know but look at him he has that panty dropping looks." Caroline says. Elena sighs.
"I'm gonna go to see him." She says as she walks to Stefan. "I hope you're not feeling bored." Elena says. Stefan laughs. "I'm hired. Boring, excitement aren't my options to have. I do exactly what you say." Stefan says. Elena smiles.
