The Lab

Hi, I'm Elena Gilbert. I'm a normal and simple person who just got herself a job. I've always wanted to become a researcher and I become one. I got my dream job. I wanted to be successful and I get the chance to work with one of the finest Scientist Doctor Klaus Mikaelson. Working with him is a dream of people like me. He's born genius. His experiments are so flawless that he never have failed in anything. He's like a mystery that none can solve it. They call him a Myth which is weird because a person can't be Myth. The people who call him Myth are jealous of his success and new comers like me will defend an idol like him at every cost. I didn't want to believe them, I will never believe them until I witness something that I shouldn't have. And I get myself into something that I shouldn't be....

"Is Doctor Mikaelson come yet?" I ask one of my colleagues as we're experimenting in our lab. We've a dead body to do some research. My colleague shakes her head no. I sigh. I want to be noticed by him. So that I can impress him with my work and can be around him and become successful like him.

As we're experimenting, he comes in. We all stand straight. He doesn't look at us as he storms into the room we're not allowed to go. It's high secured place and reserved for him to use only.

I look at him as he gets in. My colleague grabs my arm. "Don't look." She warns. I nod. He spends a very good long time there and then storms out of it without even looking at us what we're doing. We're his students after all. But then again he's a busy person. He only takes one class in a week and that continues for 5 hours. Those 5 hours is precious. And the way he describes everything, experiments everything, it'll blow our minds.

The next day I'm just walking around our lab. I end up standing on the forbidden room to watch it. There's a little see through glass attached to the door. I try to look into it but it's blur so no way I can see it. But it seems like a room with almost nothing. Wondering what might be in there.

"Elena" my colleagues speaks through her teeth. I don't look or pay attention to her. "My curiosity is getting more and more." I tell her. "Elena" she says again. I scoff, rolling my eyes as I turn back. "What's with the tee..." And I freeze.

Dr. Mikaelson is right behind me, crossing his arms. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. He's going to fire me. I know he'll. My career is doomed. I'm finished. I've horror look in my face. He doesn't express anything. Just his regular face.

"Doctor Gilbert, I'd love to see you in my office, now." He announces. And I immediately nod.

I look at my colleague who also is scared but she warned me before I didn't listen to her. I pray to God! Hoping I'll not loose my job. This is my life.

I slowly walk into his room with my shaky legs. I close the door and stand. He's looking at the screen. "I'm sorry, doctor. It won't happen again." I tell him. He doesn't say anything.

I stand there straight for 5 minutes straight. Soon, he draws his attention to me. He smiles widely, pressing his lips. "You're quite a curious person, aren't you?" He says. I swallow. "Yes." I say softly. He brings his hands and clasps them together. "Good, wait after your shift is done." He says to me. I look at him confused. He looks back at me. "You may go." He tells me. I nod. I open the door and close it. I've confusion all over my face. What was that?

After my shift is over, I stay and wait for him. He storms in and I stand up. He doesn't say anything as he points his finger at me to follow him and I do. He opens the locker. I follow him. I assume, the place is literally like a basement with nothing. But when I look around I freeze. There are bodies on the glasses. Like a glass closets attached to the walls. They all have numbers written. Who are these people and why are they all saved to reserve? They don't look from this generation.
