It seemed the group had hit a roadblock, they needed a necromancer to help decipher some of the glyphs in the books. Luckily there happened to be a necromancer living just a few days walk from the town. Apparently he stayed by an old abandoned cemetery, which I guess made sense.

Of course I had volunteered to set off and find the necromancer, although to my surprise Ryū had also volunteered to come with me. I could tell Suraimu liked the idea so off we went, to look for a necromancer!

"So why did you volunteer to come with me?" I asked Ryū as we walked through the woods. He had offered to fly us, but I enjoyed walking. Maybe we could on the way back.

"Someone has to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't get into too much trouble" he replied with a shrug.

"What kind of trouble? I never get into any trouble" I pouted, I am a good and innocent sweetheart!

Ryū held out his hand and listed them off his fingers "there was the time you decided to resolve the issue with the goblin tribe by yourself, or went out looking for a dangerous minotaur by yourself, or went into a haunted home by yourself."

I cut him off "that's not fair! I took care of all of those." Ryū shrugged once again "true, hence why I say make sure you don't get into too much trouble. One of these days your luck might run dry."

"You weren't even there for any of those" I pointed out. Ryū put his hands on his hips as he turned to face me, with his eyebrow raised up.

"When I first met you, you were inside my mimic." Ok, well that's... Not an unfair point...

"We we're bonding" I said denying any such trouble. Ryū just sighed, though there was a small smile on his lips. "Speaking of which, why haven't you brought that mimic over? Wouldn't want him to get lonely" I teased, leaning against Ryū and putting on my best puppy eyed face.

Ryū chuckled softly "perhaps I'll bring him over some day. If you promise not be alone with him. In case you forget your rather addicting, and mimic's have notoriously high stamina. Not to mention when he's done he might just keep you there until he get the energy to keep going."

I pretended to faint "oh no! The sheer unbridled horror! To think I might get ravaged for hours on end!" Ryū rolled his eyes though he made sure to catch me when I pretended to fall. "Well you do seem to enjoy having sex I guess."

Oh? I stood back up as I turned to face him "don't you? I mean nothing wrong with it if you don't of course."

Ryū shrugged and kept walking "I do" came his simple two word response. Ryū had certainly been more talkative recently, or at least with me. I noticed he still didn't seem to care for the townsfolk that much. Even so, he still remained rather closed off.

I changed the subject though and spent most of the time walking talking about my high school years. Ryū for his part was apparently home schooled as dragons don't go to normal school. I had noticed dragons seemed to have a special kind of status in this world. Normally I'd ask Suraimu, but he seemed to stay unusually quiet whenever I was talking with Ryū.

We eventually came upon the old cemetery and in the distance we could see the house. I walked right up to the gate and noticed there was a small purple orb by it. "Ooo what's this?" I asked as I quickly went up to it.

"So impulsive" Ryū sighed as he walked up beside me. "It's just a memory orb. It shows memories, considering we're in a cemetery it'll probably only show bad memories."

As he spoke the orb changed and soon I could see something playing out inside. I could see myself, with my ex...

"Oh... No good ones?" I half heartedly asked. I could feel Ryū shrug "probably not, the orb isn't being controlled by anyone so it probably just feeds of the negative energy around here. Who's that?"
