Lea had been getting praised rather strongly recently, as she had been receiving the credit for helping the town with it's goblin problem twice. Honestly I had never heard of a goblin tribe having a good relation with any town so it was impressive.

Lea however did not seem to take the praise as seriously as others might. She was happy and excited, but she wasn't boastful about it. She didn't go around town bragging or even really mentioning, but I could tell she did enjoy hearing people praise her.

She wasn't as vainful as most people I had met, although maybe she was just to focused on her fun. The woman seemed to sometimes have way too much energy, running this way and that, impulsively jumping upon decisions. It was perhaps a little concerning, but she seemed to find happiness in her own silly antics.

"Ryū!" She called out to me as she ran into the house. "We completed the first shipment of goblin cum!" I turned to face her and found she was practically bouncing in place. Did all humans have so much energy?

"So I thought tonight we should go out and celebrate!" She proclaimed, throwing her hand up in the air. "No thanks" I replied not really caring for a night out on the town.

"Aw come on, your supposed to be having fun, this will be fun!" Lea's idea of fun and mine were apparently not always the same. Although her antics could be fun to watch, engaging with the rest of the town did not sound like fun.

"Please" she leaned against me while pouting. "Fine, but just tonight" I finally gave in. "Yes! I win!" She proclaimed before grabbing my hand and quickly leading me out of the house. "You know you could just go on your own" I pointed out slightly confused on why she wanted me to tag along so badly.

"I... I don't like that idea" she spoke in a softer tone, not bothering with looking back at me as she responded. Hm, now that I thought about it Lea had a tendency of being surrounded by people. The only time she was really alone was when she was out on a quest.

"So where are you kidnapping me to?" I asked and Lea giggled before responding "I heard there's a bar a lot of the people frequent after work."

Oh no...

There were only two kinds of bars people in this town went to after work. The kind that was full of people who just wanted to casually catch up with friends before going home; and the kind that was full of sad or frustrated people who wanted to drown out everything. Those were not the kind of people Lea should be around.

Knowing Lea though, she had no idea which bar was which, she simply got an idea in her head and ran off at full speed. Oh well, at least if I was going with her I could keep an eye out, make sure she stayed safe.

What a silly notion, me a powerful dragon, keeping an eye on a silly little human. Honestly this entire experience with her had been strange. When I saw her in my cave I assumed she was going to offer a ton of gold, or a powerful weapon, maybe some ancient human spell or something of that nature. That's the only reason anybody comes to see a dragon, to offer riches and knowledge for some sort of service.

Instead this silly little human offered her hand and the chance to have some fun? My own curiosity got the better of me and I said yes. I thought I'd just read the texts and then go, but instead this little human offered me a space in her home. She acted so casually, like I was just another one of her companions, no different than any other. Everyone bowed with respect, looked at me with fear, understood the weight of my presence, but this little human woman just smiled and joked and tugged me around like a friend she had years of history with.

"Here we are!" Lea shouted as we reached the door of the bar. She quickly rushed in before I had a chance to protest. This was definitely not the good of bar. Once inside it didn't take Lea long at all to get us a couple of drinks nor to start up conversations with some of the other people. I kept an eye out but also kept my distance.
