Alaina
I look up at the sky and see the clouds forming shapes. It's such a beautiful day I just had to take a walk outside in the garden, safe within the palace gates. When I entered the garden, I sat down and brought my sketch book with me. I haven't really drawn anything in a while so why not start now? Ashton has really brought out my creative side and it has made me so very happy. I smile to myself as I notice a few of the flowers blooming and the way the sun hits the colors, it makes me want to sketch them. I open my sketch book and take my pencil out of the case, and I start to draw the outline. I love to draw and make something come to life on paper. It may not look the best but I do try and it brings me joy.
As I draw, I start thinking how I never thought I would find someone who takes care of me or protects me like Ashton does. We have been trying to make a plan that will ensure my father's defeat but somehow none of that matters to me anymore. When I'm with Ashton everything feels like time has stopped and we're the only two people in the world.
I needed a change and that is why I came to France in the first place. But after everything went wrong and being poisoned, I needed to blend in. I grew out my hair, got it dyed blonde and changed up my wardrobe. Ashton has not complained in the least, which tells me he likes it; I don't know where things are going with him but I'm safe and that's all that matters. Smiling as the sun hits my cheeks and the warmth fills me with happiness. I yelp as I feel hands wrap around my waist.
My eyes shooting open "OMG Ashton you scared me."
"I'm sorry love, I wasn't trying to scare you."
His voice is so soothing it always draws me in. He has been working out since I woke up from the coma and I swear those abs, I just can't look away.
"You like what you see, malady."
"What oh yeah, you know I do." I giggle a little as he knows when he is shirtless it drives me wild.
"Maybe I should be shirtless more often."
"If you do that I might faint, and we don't want that."
My cheeks blushing as he pulls me in by my waist, his face getting closer to me as I can feel his hot breath escape his lips.
"Is there a reason you came out here?"
I ask, trying to control my desire to kiss him just now. He is only a few inches from my lips. He makes it hard to breathe.
"I came to tell you the dressmaker is here for your new outfits, but by the looks of things you are wanting something else."
Why does he have to make my heart leap out of my chest? It feels like I'm going to burst, but he can't have the satisfaction just yet, can he?
"Yes, then I must not keep her waiting then."
I pull back a tad and kiss his cheek, if I can't kiss him the way I want to then I can make him suffer slightly.
"Oh, is that all I get? Just a kiss on the cheek?"
I giggle and wiggle my way out of his grip and start to walk backwards towards the doors to the great hall. I see he has his shirt tucked into his pants, perfect all I have to do is have him chase me. I grab it quickly and start to run.
"Alaina!!!"
He chuckles and starts to run after me, almost stumbling on his feet and tripping.
Do I make him go crazy like he does to me? I guess I need to try harder, which shouldn't be that hard for me to achieve right? I look over my shoulder and he's gaining on my heels; I go to run faster but I hear him yelling at me to slow down but why.
