Chapter 8

Steven

   As the door opens and I see Anthony standing there I get pretty excited and know that finally things are going my way and just as it should. I stand in the living room by the couch and pour myself a glass of brandy, I turn my head over my shoulder and watch my nephew walking towards me.

"Well, my boy you finally are here."

"No offense uncle, but why are you calling me here all of a sudden."

I knew I loved this boy; he takes after me, straight to the point and no sugar coating it. Just the way I like it.

"Well, let's go into the study and we can get to it then."

Trying to keep myself calm and collected as we walk into the study, but who am I kidding I'm just ready to get this handled and to get my daughter back so I can rule the world. Every day I can feel myself slipping farther and farther down the rabbit hole and knowing my death is near, if Alaina can hurry up and come back and save me all will be fine.

I see Anthony sitting on the couch though I walk over to my desk and sit in my comfy chair instead of approaching him. I take a pause to think about the words I want to say. I gather my thoughts and words and get up and head over to him.

"Uncle please tell me what I am doing here or I'm going home."

Wow he has guts talking to me like that. Well, this is going to be very brief and to the point, this is going to be fun.

"Well, now I have something to ask of you and I won't take no for an answer."

"What would that be?"

"I am needing my daughter found and I will make it worthwhile for you."

"What do you mean? I'm interested now."

"My daughter needs to be bred so she can save me from dying, I don't care how it's done, whoever can find her and breed her can have her for life."

I can see that he is interested now by the way he is raising his eyebrow and getting a small smirk in the corner of his mouth.

"So, you're telling me I can force her to have a child and then marry her?"

"Yes, that's exactly what I'm telling you, control her mind, do what you have to, I just need her back here to save me."

He stands up and looks at me, taking a minute to think about it. I know he will side with me; I can sense something in him.

"What can you tell me about where you think she is or how to find her?"

Now we are getting somewhere, I knew I could count on him, he always took after me and I love it when I'm winning.

"The last thing I know from my robot is she's been in France for the last five months, no one can find her or trace her for that matter."

"I will find her, it won't take me long, all I need is a picture and something that smells like her so I can track it."

Odd I thought only wolves track by scent but maybe for a vampire the smells are a lot stronger. Doesn't matter, it will be a great day when she is here to save me, and I can control her every move. I hand him the picture and one of her sweaters that still has her scent on it. Don't get me wrong, I love her with every inch of my being, but I do need her if I want to stay alive and I can't do that without her doing this for me.

"This is everything you will need, how much time will you need to get this done?"

"Give me about a week and I promise you will have good news by the time we are back."
