f you would have told me last week that I was going to head to France to mate and marry the daughter of the Alpha, I would have laughed in your face. This is the most exciting thing I have ever done. I have followed the scent all around the airport and know that she took this one for sure, I mean it is the only airport in our city so that wasn't too hard. As I buy a ticket to France and board the plane I get a big whiff of a strong wolf scent, is this the exact plane she took? If it is, I'm getting a lot of different smells.

One thing about vampires is we can smell ten times more than a wolf can, our emotions are expanded more, and we can do a lot more. My father was the first vampire in our family, my mother was sick, and he turned her to save her, when she got pregnant with me, they knew I would be a full vampire. I guess time has gotten away from me because I hear the flight attendant say we are now landing in France, which means I have been thinking about my past the whole ride.

As I walk off the plane, I start to pick up a scent again, she was here for sure but where could she have been for five months? And why is her scent really strong? Something isn't adding up here and I'm not sure what it could be, but my uncle is counting on me to get to the bottom of this. Thankfully I didn't really bring any bags with me, so I didn't have to wait in line to pick them up. I am determined to find her quickly.

Walking to the front of the airport I pause to check my surroundings and see what I can find and possibly pick up clues. I take in several deep breaths of fresh air. Less covered by so many different smells all clustered together in a tight space. This way is easier to pick out certain scents. Looking towards the left I see the town and tons of shops and hotels. On my right I see woods and farm country, If I were Alaina I would go where it was quiet and not so obvious. That's where I am going to go, towards the country and see if I can sniff her out. I use my super speed to head that way without being spotted, I stop in my tracks as I get a whiff of a wolf but it's not Alaina, it's in the direction of town.

Do I run towards it, or do I go towards the farm country? Alpha did say he sent others to find her and to bring her back, maybe that is who I smell? But could I be wrong and risk losing Alaina? All of these questions have me wondering what I should do and it's making me waste time, it doesn't smell like her, so I won't waste my time and go towards the city. Instead, I head towards the quietness of the farm country and towards the hills. I don't see much over here, not even places to hide. If I were her, I would go where it's quiet and no one can find me but as I look around, I can see she's not here unless she's hiding in a flowerpot or a field of grapes.

I wasted time going over this way for sure, better head towards the town now and see if I can pick that scent back up. I don't want to let her dad down as I seem to be his last chance of getting his health back and I don't want to be the reason he dies. I run quickly towards the direction of town and suddenly see a pack of guys walk into an alley, I take a second to try and catch a scent, when I do I get a wolf scent, they must be the ones that the Alpha sent to find Alaina.

Well then maybe I need to introduce myself and see if they can help me out, or I can just scare them a bit and send them crawling back to the Alpha. See I can be a nice guy, but I am also an ass and I love watching people squirm, especially when they do what I want. I can make anyone do my bidding just by staring into their eyes and playing with their mind. I smirk to myself as I walk to them, creeping up behind them. I stop for a second and try to hear their conversation. When I hear them say the Alpha, I decide I should say something.

"I'm sorry but did you just say the Alpha?"

I know I just sounded dumb, but I have to get them to trust me even if I do something I really don't want to do.
