"Aaru.....aap yeh kya kar rahe hain? Arre, aisa nahi! Yahan dijiye," she said.
"Aadu, tum yeh order pura karo. Main aur customers attend karke aata hoon," he said and stepped outside the kitchen.
"Arre, Aaru bhi na! Inh doctor sahab ko kuch karna nahi aata, bas sirf kaam bigadna aata hai mera," she muttered to herself, stepping outside to search for him.
As soon as she stepped outside, she witnessed the most beautiful scene: her Aaru was feeding a pastry 🍰 to a small child, and they were talking and laughing while eating. Her heart filled with even more love for him. After making the child eat, he said goodbye and came towards her.
"Jaana, tumne kaam khatam bhi kar diya? Kya speed hai aapki," he said, kissing her cheek.
"Ji, aapne itni madad jo ki thi hamari ki humara kaam pura time se ho gaya," she said, sarcasm dripping from her voice.
And here he knew that again, in the name of helping her, he had made her work harder.
"Sorry, jaana. Main toh help hi karna chahta hoon, but har baar meri wajah se tumhara kaam aur badh jaata hai," he said, making a sad face and sitting down.
She sat in front of him, took his hands in hers, and made him look at her.
"Aaru, aap dukhi mat hoiye. Dekho toh kaisa gubare jaisa muh bana lete ho. It doesn't suit my handsome Aaru," she said. Listening to her, a smile instantly appeared on his face, and he pulled her towards himself, pecking her lips.
She blushed at this gesture, stood up, and moved to the counter as it was closing time for the cafe.
"Acha Aadu, woh meri kal ek important surgery hai, toh kal main cafe nahi aa paunga," he said.
"Koi baat nahi, doctor sahab. Hum sambhal lenge. Aap achhe se apni surgery karke aaiye, aur aaj jaana time se," she said. From behind, he encircled her in his arms.
"Bilkul! Yeh bhi koi baat hai? Main time pe aaunga, kyunki meri Aadu ka pehla aur sab se bada event hai kal," he said.
"Hmmm...chalo, let's go. Aaj bahut late ho gaya," she said. They both moved out, and she locked the cafe's door.
Walking and talking, they reached their 'home-sweet-home' and slept in each other's arms peacefully.

"Oye uth ja, Kumbhkaran! Kitne sapne dekhne baki hain tere? Chacha bhi sapne mein hi bana diya..." a boy in his deep sleep listens to someone's rants and puts a pillow over his head to avoid the voice.
"ARYANSH GUPTA, WAKE UP OR ELSE...1...2...AND-"
"Uth gaya...uth gaya," Aryansh said, waking up instantly.
"Saale, kitne sapne dekhega uske? Roz mujhe hi utna padhta hai tujhe. Aur phir pata nahi kya karta rehta hai sapne mein. Mere virgin kaan bechare...kya kya sunna padhta hai inko," Dhruv Ahuja, Aryansh's only and best friend, said, teasing him.
"Chal be chal, kuch nahi bolta main. Aur koi privacy naam ki cheez hai ki nahi? Jab dekho mere sapne kharab karne aa jata hai. Roz apni sadhi si shakal dikhata hai...hmmm," Aryansh said irritably.
"Oh! Toh privacy chahiye Bhai sahab ko. Bete, wahan Rajan sir ne aaj phir agar late enter hote dekh liya na, toh ho gayi phir internship," Dhruv said.
Aryansh, being Aryansh, ignored him and went to the washroom to freshen up.
After getting ready, he came downstairs for breakfast.
"Rita aunty, mera breakfast laga do. Jaldi! Bahut late ho gaya aaj toh."
"Rita aunty, pehle mera breakfast dijiye. Inke paas abhi bahut kaam hai aur sapne baki honge Bhai sahab ke," Dhruv said, taunting him.
"Yaar, dost nahi hai? Please?" Aryansh tried to emotionally blackmail Dhruv.
"Aagya baba, dono ka nashta. Lijiye," Rita aunty said.
"Thank you, aunty," both boys said, quickly finishing breakfast and moving towards catching the metro.
Inside the metro:
"Yaar, tune jaldi kyun nahi uthaya? Abh late ho gaye," Aryansh said.
"Acha ji, I woke you up early. Only you were busy in your dreamland. Abh mera kya kasoor? Waise aaj kya sapna dekha, Bhai?" Dhruv said, munching on his chocolate.
"Yaar, aaj toh happy family wala tha. Bilkul uska cafe hum dono saath...hayyyyeeee," Aryansh said dreamily.
"Wah...kash Bhagwan tere sapne sach kar dein aur mujhe tujhe uthane se fursat mile," Dhruv said. They talked the whole journey and reached their hospital on time.
