It was a morning scene, with the first rays of the sun illuminating the entire land. The sky, filled with hues of red and yellow, added to the beauty of the moment.
Everything was peaceful and serene.
A cute, chubby girl was sleeping on her bed. Her thick hair was spread across the pillow. As the gentle sound of the alarm rang, she slowly opened her sleepy eyes. At first, she reached out to turn off the alarm but then thought, "Today feels different."
She got up from the bed, rubbing her big, sparkling eyes. Her cheeks were red and soft, like a cute teddy bear.
She moved the curtain aside and let the sunlight pour into her room. In that light, her face had a unique glow and a special smile. The chirping of birds reached her ears, and she stepped onto the balcony, looking at the open sky. The cool morning breeze touched her face, bringing a fresh feeling. She thought, "What a beautiful start to the day."
She made her coffee and sat in the balcony, beginning her day with a sweet smile.
As she sat in the balcony, savoring her coffee and the beautiful morning, her father joined her. He had a gentle smile on his face, and his eyes sparkled with pride.
“Good morning, beta,” he said, placing a hand on her shoulder.
“Good morning, Papa,” she replied, her smile widening.
He sat down beside her, looking out at the serene morning. After a moment of comfortable silence, he turned to her and asked, “Have you finished your packing for Delhi? Your train leaves this evening.”
Her smile faltered slightly as she nodded. “Almost done, Papa. Just a few things left.”
He sighed softly, a mix of pride and sadness in his eyes. “I’m so proud of you, going to Delhi for your MBA. It feels like just yesterday you were a little girl, and now you’re all grown up.”
She felt a lump form in her throat, trying to keep her emotions in check. “I know, Papa. I’m excited, but… I’ll miss home. I’ll miss you.”
He reached out and gently held her hand. “And I’ll miss you too, beta. But this is your dream. You’ve worked so hard for this. It’s a new chapter, and you’re going to do amazing things.”
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she leaned her head on his shoulder. “I’m a little scared, Papa. It’s a big change.”
He patted her hand reassuringly. “It’s natural to feel that way. But remember, no matter where you go, this will always be your home. And I’ll always be here for you.”
They sat there for a while, the morning sun casting a warm glow around them. It was a moment of bittersweet transition, filled with love, pride, and a hint of sadness.
Finally, she straightened up, wiping her eyes and smiling. “I’ll make you proud, Papa. I promise.”
He smiled back, his eyes glistening. “You already have, beta. You already have.”
As Adhriti and her father shared this emotional moment, her mother walked into the balcony, noticing the teary eyes and heartfelt expressions.
“Aarey, kya ho raha hai yahan? Itni emotional scene chal rahi hai aur mujhe bulaya bhi nahi?” she teased, trying to lighten the mood. “Mujhe to jealousy ho rahi hai, tum dono mujhe bina involve kiye bonding kar rahe ho!”
Adhriti and her father both laughed, the heavy emotion lifting slightly.
“Arre, Maa!” Adriti said, wiping her tears. “Aap bhi na, kabhi serious nahi ho sakti.”
Her mother chuckled and came over to give her a tight hug. “Beta, hum sab tumhe bohot miss karenge. Par yeh naya safar tumhare liye bohot zaroori hai. Aur tum jaanti ho, hum tumhare liye kitne proud hain.”
“Thanks, Maa,” Adhriti said, feeling the warmth of her mother's embrace. “Aap logon ke bina yeh sab possible nahi hota.”
“Chalo, ab bas rona dhona band karo,” her mother said, pulling back and wiping a tear from her own eye. “Breakfast ready hai, chalo sab milke khaate hain.”
The three of them headed to the dining table, the atmosphere now filled with a mix of laughter and nostalgia as they enjoyed their last breakfast together before Adhriti’s departure.
Later that afternoon, with her bags packed and everything in order, Adriti was ready to leave for the station. Her friend Shanaya arrived, full of excitement.
“Adriti, are you ready? Delhi, here we come!” Shanaya exclaimed.
“Ready, Shanaya!” Adhriti replied, her nerves easing at her friend's enthusiasm.
Her parents helped load her luggage into the car. As they reached the station, her father turned to her with a final piece of advice. “Beta, apna khayal rakhna. Aur koi bhi problem ho, hamesha humein call karna.”
“I will, Papa. Don’t worry,” Adhriti assured him.
Her mother hugged her tightly one last time. “Hum tumse bohot pyaar karte hain, Adhriti. Tumhara naya safar bahut khoobsurat ho.”
“Love you too, Maa,” Adhriti said, her voice choking a little.
With a final wave, she boarded the train with Shanaya. As the train started moving, she looked out the window, waving at her parents until they were out of sight.
Shanaya nudged her. “Adhriti, this is just the beginning. Delhi ki duniya humein bula rahi hai!”
Adhriti smiled, feeling a mix of emotions but mostly excitement for the journey ahead. “Haan, Delhi, here we come!”
And with that, Adhriti embarked on her new adventure, carrying with her the love and support of her family.
