The days that followed were a whirlwind of excitement and activity as preparations for the wedding began in earnest. Both families were buzzing with energy, each member eager to contribute to the grand occasion. The Guptas' house was constantly filled with the scent of fresh flowers, the sound of laughter, and the rustle of colorful fabrics as everyone got busy with the arrangements.
In the midst of all this, Adhriti and Aryansh found themselves caught up in the magic of their upcoming wedding. Though they were miles apart during the day, separated by the flurry of tasks and responsibilities, they never missed a chance to connect at night. It became their ritual—those late-night conversations that were as essential as the wedding preparations themselves.

One evening, after a particularly hectic day of shopping and organizing, Adhriti finally collapsed onto her bed, exhausted but content. She was about to close her eyes when her phone buzzed. Smiling, she immediately knew who it was.
Aryansh: Hey, gorgeous. How’s my bride-to-be?
Adhriti blushed, her fingers hovering over the keys as she tried to think of a response. Even after all this time, Aryansh’s words still made her heart flutter.
Adhriti: Tired, but happy. How’s my groom-to-be?
Aryansh: Missing you. A lot. I don’t like that we’re so busy we can’t even see each other properly.
Adhriti: I know. But it’s all for our wedding! Just a few more days, and then we’ll be together forever.
Aryansh’s response came almost immediately, as if he had been waiting for those words.
Aryansh: Forever sounds perfect. I can’t wait to make you mine, Adhriti.
Adhriti’s heart skipped a beat at his intensity. She could almost hear the longing in his voice, the same longing she felt every time she thought about him, which was practically all the time.
Adhriti: You know, you’re not supposed to say things like that right before I’m trying to sleep. Now how am I supposed to calm down?
Aryansh: Who said anything about calming down? I want you to think about me, to dream about us…
She could practically see the teasing smirk on his face through his words. She blushed deeply, feeling a rush of warmth spread through her.
Adhriti: You’re impossible, Aryansh!
Aryansh: But you love it. Admit it.
She bit her lip, trying to suppress the smile that was threatening to take over her face.
Adhriti: Maybe I do…
Aryansh: I knew it.
He added a winking emoji 😉, making her giggle softly.
Aryansh: But seriously, Aadu, I can’t wait for the day when I won’t have to say goodnight to you over the phone. When I can just hold you and tell you in person.
Adhriti felt her heart melt at his words. The sincerity, the love in his voice, it was overwhelming.
Adhriti: Me too, Aaru. I can’t wait either.
They continued talking late into the night, sharing their hopes and dreams for their future, until they were both too tired to keep their eyes open. Every night, these conversations made the distance between them feel a little smaller, the wait a little more bearable.
