Dariela'POV

She lay on the examination table, the cold gel smeared across her rounded belly as the ultrasound screen flickered to life. Her heart pounded in her chest, a mixture of excitement and anxiety swirling within her. But as the doctor's expression darkened, she knew something was wrong.

"The triplets," the doctor began hesitantly, "they're in a sac together, but... there's a fourth one, outside the sac." The words hung heavy in the air, each one a blow to her already fragile state. "It's an infrequent condition. The risks are overwhelming. Your life is in danger."

She felt a surge of protectiveness rises within her, a mother's instinct to shield her unborn children, no matter the cost. "What are you saying?" she asked, though deep down, she feared she already knew the answer.

The doctor's eyes were concerned as she delivered the harsh truth. "The safest option is to terminate the pregnancy. You could lose them all, and your own life is at great risk."

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. The room felt like it was closing in, but in the midst of the suffocating dread, a calm resolve washed over her. She gently placed her hand on her swollen abdomen, feeling the life that stirred within. Each tiny heartbeat, every flutter, was a testament to the fragile yet fierce existence growing inside her.

"No," she whispered, her voice growing stronger with each word. "I'm not giving up on them. I will not end their lives."

The doctor tried to protest, but she silenced her with a look of unwavering determination. "These are my babies," she said, tears brimming in her eyes. "All four of them. I will fight for them, no matter what. We will get through this, together."

She knew, deep down, that what she had done wasn't right. The pills she had been taking were meant to prevent pregnancy, but in her desperation, she had misused them, increasing her chances instead. It was a reckless gamble, a silent act of defiance against the Alpha who had controlled so much of her life. Now, the consequences were undeniable.

The Alpha's eyes darkened as the reality of the situation sank in. He wasn't happy, far from it. The news hit him like a punch to the gut, and a storm of emotions surged within him—anger, frustration, and something far more complicated, something dangerously close to guilt. He remembered all the pain he had inflicted on her, the relentless torment that had driven her to this point. The memory of her suffering, the fear and helplessness he had imposed, made it impossible for him to react with the rage he instinctively felt.

For a moment, he stood there, paralyzed by his own conflicting emotions. Should he lash out in anger, reprimand her for the dangerous choice she had made? Or should he let the guilt that gnawed at him take over, acknowledge the role he had played in pushing her to this? He didn't know what to feel—whether to be angry, worried, or crushed beneath the weight of his own culpability.

In that moment, the Alpha was lost, his power over her seeming to slip through his fingers as he grappled with the realization that this situation was, in part, his doing. The choices she made, the risks she took—they were a direct response to the pain he had caused. And now, as the consequences unfolded before them, he was left standing at the crossroads of his emotions, unsure of how to move forward.
