Soyeon was back in the studio giggling the next masterpiece she was cooking. Continuing on that playful, colorful, image inspired by candycore and pH-1's early music videos. It was simple love song about relationship problems. Both her and significant other has made a mistake that took a toll on their relationship. She suggested of possibly breaking up but then instilled hope of a possible rekindling.
"See I'm capable of making witty music too! And Cube thought Harry sunbae was the only one who could write good music!? They lost such a creative talent they could've used." Soyeon said with a boast.
"You really are obsessed about him?" Lexie stepped forward. Soyeon turned around.
"Lexie-ah you're here and what do ya mean obsession!? That's a rather strong word to use, I perfer more like admiration!! I heard lots of great things about him from the sunbaes. He wrote not only his group's music but some of 4minute's and CLC's music. He literally carried Cube through the early days. I'ma show him that I can carry on the next generation!!" Soyeon said with a determined smirk.
"That's quite a goal unnie I'm not gonna lie. I don't know if we'll ever see them considered that history." Lexie said vaguely.
The BEAST fiasco is still a forbidden topic in Cube Entertainment, but what she heard the label wasn't paying them much and they interfered with the writing, label bullshit.
"Probably not right now, but when I do get famous. I'ma rub it in his handsome little face!! Ya girlie got the genius. Took me many years to get this writing shit taking off. You wouldn't believe how many crappy songs I've written before I got here. This is more than just showing off to my idol, but for myself. The rap game is competitive if you haven't noticed and if you're a female rapper it's even more vicious. Unpretty Rapstar was extremely brutal. I was picked apart by all my rivals and because I was the short girl, it was pretty easy for them to roast me. I had to be clever with my disses.
That's actually why I admired Harry oppa. He didn't just diss his rivals, but he did it in way that was clever yet pack one hell of a punch. That's the kind of rapper I want to be. It's very easy to curse your way through a rap, but I want to go beyond that. Now I ain't no pure saint like he is, but even I can understand the need to be creative. I know I'm rambling at this point but I hope you know why I take this seriously. I want to show that women can write good music. Call me ambitious but I know I got what it takes." Soyeon said in a genuine tone.
Lexie now regret question her goal. It seemed she really did have her ambitions.
"What ambitions do I have then?..." She wondered but then she remembers what NCT's Chen Yifan said in an interview.
"I wanna show everyone that Chinese people can make good music. We're often stigmatized due to ridiculous geopolitics, but I promise we're not bad people. I want Chinese people to be able to express themselves without fear of being judged."
"Maybe I should do the same. Aside from Elkie, Kuanlin, Yuqi, and Shuhua, there isn't a lot of Chinese trainees. Wait a minute didn't Shuhua said they were related? I need to speak to her." Lexie made plan to talk Yifan's cousin.
