Within seconds of Lucy sitting down by Nolan, Grey walked in and roll call began.

G- 'Okay night shift actually did their jobs for once so get to patrol guys: Thorsen you're with me, Bradford you'll be accompanied by London again so Chen you're on your own. Okay get to it.'

Lucy immediately got up and set up her shop, not being able to bear the sight of Tim and that woman giggling away any more. She knew Tim was single and could do what he wanted now but it still hurt how quickly he could move on and the callousness of him to do it here at the station right in front of her. Their laughs ricocheted in her skull for the rest of the silent shift as she patrolled. Every time Tim radioed in she could hear her voice in the background like she was taunting her.

After what seemed like days, lunch came around and Lucy met up with the group to discuss the celebration tonight; it was Lopez's birthday and of course she was going to party hard. Their nanny had both their kids and Harper's and she had given everyone weeks of daily reminders so there were no excuses.

A- 'Okay everyone 8pm, you all have the bar's address! See you then! Be safe, I'll drag you there even with a bullet hole in you if I have to: IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!'

She and Harper got up and made their way back to the station to get on with their cases. Nolan and Celina soon followed as they had to study for Celina's upcoming exam. Grey then got a call to come back so he and Aaron rushed off, leaving Tim, Lucy and London who had just got back from the toilet while the others discussed Angela's party.

Dr- 'Oh hi, Lucy right, we haven't properly met have we? I'm-'

L- ' -Doctor London, yep. Sorry, I have to go. Bye'

Lucy rushed off before London could even sit down without making contact with either of them. She threw her barely touched food in the bin and jumped back into her shop. As she drove away her open window still managed to catch their laughs.

How was she already laughing? They'd been alone for a few seconds. After months of dating, years of friendship, Tim couldn't even give her one adult conversation yet he seemed to be fine talking his heart out to the woman he'd met a couple of weeks ago.

She couldn't take it. If he could move on so quickly and obnoxiously, so could she.

Lucy was going to have fun tonight.
