T-'Unlike everyone else, who are only on their first drink, you don't need a 9th Lucy' he answered with a neutral tone contrasting her fragmented, pressing interrogation.

Lucy usually would have calmly gone and got her own drink, or even started an argument with Tim for this however for multiple reasons she wasn't in the perfect mindset at this point. So instead she took a step closer to the already close man so her rising and falling chest brushed against his torso rhythmically. Her head cocked upwards facing his familiar face. As he looked down on the beautiful woman inches from his face his expression remained neutral masking the innumerable memories, impulsive thoughts and raging desires flooding through his brain. She leaned up on her tiptoes so he could feel her hot breath on his lips,

L-'But i really want one' she whispered with a small soft solemn tone.

Tim looked around to see the table looking at them. He broke up with her: he hurt her. He didn't want them to see him give in to her; it was too embarrassing. All she did was come a bit closer to him. It would be weak, embarrassing, shameful of him to give in to her. He didn't even deserve to buy her a drink. Yet despite the hundred reasons why not he couldn't help but look down at her gorgeous brown eyes. The eyes that he hadn't seen in weeks. The eyes that avoided every single gaze he made. Those eyes were staring right at him, inches away asking him for something so small.

T-'Fine give me a second.' He tore his face from hers and walked back to the bar.

A-'LUCY!'

H-'That was torture to watch.'

James- 'poor guy.'

L-'He broke up with me! He walked out of that station after I waited for hours, hugged me then broke up with me without letting me get a word in about it since.'

A-yeah but still the man can;t say no to you and you know it'

L-'Yet he can flirt with other women right next to me.'

The table looked at her in realisation.

A-'So that's why you look like that tonight'

L-'Like what?'

H-'Lucy you never dress up.'

L-'Yes I do!'

G-'Okay okay guys be quiet'

Tim walked back and placed a vodka coke in Lucy's place before making his way back to his own and sitting down.

L-'Whatever. Now come on, this is a celebration isn't it?'

Lucy grabbed Angela's hands pulling her up from her seat and led her out to the dancefloor. She swung her out in a spin and caught her other hand before they began dancing, smiling and giggling. JAmes offered his hand to Harper leading her out close behind the other two followed by Luna and Grey and Aaron and Celina.

Wesley-'Don't leave me on my own, come on Tim.'

T-'Sorry Wesley, you'll have to go join someone else, I'm not a dancer.'

Wesley-'But Lucy stole my wife.'

Tim looked up at Wesley's pleasing face with a stoic response which sent Wesley up to the floor on his own.

After a few fast songs where the group sang, jumped and jived around together in a mixed group, a slow song came on and the couples paired off.

Wesley-'May I have this dance birthday girl?'

A-'of course birthday girl's husband'

As Celina and Aaron laughed and joined up, Lucy was left single. As she looked around, Tim's eyes met hers.

His neutral expression flinched at her wide smile and she took a small step towards him.
