Your pov
Everyone was, sadly, not granted the next day off of the U.S.J attack. Following your usual route, you began to get lost in thought. Being able to match the speed and strength of the Nomu was a mystery to me. In the situation, it was more like an impulsive decision. No thoughts behind it. Though it felt like as soon as you spoke, you blacked out. That part left you confused.
Being lost in thought has its own consequences, however. Such as not noticing someone walking beside you until they speak up.
"Hello, L/n-"
You quite literally jumped at this disturbance of peace. And since said person scared the shit out of you; you gave them the courtesy of punching them. Hard. Your very rude intruder was on the ground holding their stomach. Now, taking a look at your intruder, you began to feel bad. "Holy fucking shit- Todoroki you can't do that! You seriously scared the shit out of me!"
Groans of pain came from underneath you. The poor boy looked up at you from the concrete with nothing but pain in his eyes. Still feeling bad; you reached out a hand that Todoroki gratefully took. Now standing on his feet, he spoke. "Sorry L/n, I thought you heard me before."
"Oh god! No don't apologize Todoroki, it was my fault." Your hands reached up to your head in embarrassment. "I'm uh- sorry I was just deep in thought." Glancing at your classmate, your eyes locked together. The air began to feel awkward so you looked away, and began slowly walking towards the school building. Though, one thought was in your mind. Looking back at Todoroki, you asked. "What did you say before I accidentally punched you?"
The boy brought his hand to his chin. "I don't remember.. sorry, L/n."
Giving a hum in response, the two of you made your way into class 1-A, where almost everyone was in. Everyone was talking about the attack yesterday and how we were on the news.
"We're totally big deals! Those news channels love us- were basically celebrities now!"
"It's kinda crazy, right?"
"Ugh, get over yourselves..."
Not caring to conversat, you made your way to your desk at the back of the classroom. Throwing your school bag into the chair behind you, the bell rang, signaling that class was about to begin. The door swings open by your beloved teacher wrapped completely in bandages. 'How can he even see?! His eyes are completely covered!'
"Morning, class."
"Mister Aizawa, what are you doing here?" Everyone, including you, yelled at your reckless homeroom teacher.
Aizawa walks slowly up to the front of the room. He takes a long, quick breath when turning towards us students. "My well-being is irrelevant. What's more important is that your fight isn't over yet." Doing what you could only assume would be looking at all of us makes everyone freak out again. "The UA Sports Festival is about to begin. Administration thinks it's a good way to show that everything had been handled."
Aizawa continued to speak, but you didn't pay attention. Even if you were accepted via recommendation, you needed to find a way to stand out. You didn't exactly have the flashiest quirk, so extra measures were usually taken in your case. This event is the most watched event in the entirety of Japan. Giving us students the perfect opportunity to stand out. Heros usually pay attention to these events, meaning that the farther you get, the more likely you'll get scouted. This only happened once a year, three chances in a lifetime. Meaning you had to give it your best.
Aizawa eventually dismissed his class, and the day resumed as if the U.S.J attack had never happened. Now, it being the end of the day; you made your way out of the classroom and out of the school. Spotting someone who you seemed to chat with quite often, you called out to him. "Todoroki! Would you like to walk together?"
