You quickly made your way back to your seat. Getting a few questioned glances from your classmates as you passed, you ignored them. Right now, you were here to support your friend. Even saying that word in your mind felt foreign, no matter who it was to. Just as you sat down, Midorya was introduced to the crowd as 'the boy who almost walked out of his first match'. Which wasn't incorrect, but sad he didn't get a better introduction.
As both boys made their way to the middle of the stage, they simply glared at each other. No emotion seeped through them.
Unbeknownst to you, Uraraka turned her head in your direction and asked a question. "L/n, who do you think will win?"
"Based on the matchup, I feel as if Todoroki would win. He's good at long-range and short-range attacks, and Midorya needs to get close to his opponent." You spoke, and as you did, your hand went up to your chin. More-so in a thinking position. Once you finished speaking, both of the boys got into a fighting stance on the ground. The crowd cheered with anticipation.
"BEGINNNNNN!!!"
As soon as those words left, Present Mic's mouth Todoroki shot a wave of ice towards Midorya, who destroyed the ice using the wind pressure of his quirk. When the ice broke, a wave of cold air flew around everywhere.
"Woah!"
"So cold!"
"Feels like this wind is going to freeze me solid!"
The wind was absolutely freezing cold. You hung your arms around your body to generate some sort of heat. As the wind passed Todoroki, he used his arms to cover his own face. However, the same sequence of events happened again. A massive ice wall shot at Midorya, Midorya breaking his fingers to stop the ice, freezing wind. This process happened again and again. Then, an ice ramp was made. Todoroki raced up the ramp as Midorya used his quirk to break it. But it was too late, Todoroki jumped down from the ramp and almost landed an ice punch on Midorya. The greenette managed to evade the hit by literally a hair at first. When Midorya was farther away in the air, another stream of ice was shot at him. Encasing his entire foot.
You couldn't see what happened next due to a giant dust cloud that formed. Assuming Midorya used his quirk once again seemed more reasonable due to the direction and force of the wind. As the air blew everything away, your and your classmates' hair began flying everywhere. The wind was so strong. Even if you used some sort of high power, long-lasting hairspray, it wouldn't even hold up from the wind.
