Chapter 7:  The bunny that tries to run away from the tiger

    Ark wasn't sure what to feel at that moment. Infront of him,  smiling was the one who killed him in his first life, Crowned prince Helios Noxius Secro and beside him was the one who help Eros spread false rumors that had led to his demise, Marquis Elios Thomas Lazar.

"I was happy to finally meet you little Decroix, your brothers had hidden you well." Helios was slightly intrigued on how beautiful Ark was, he was like a real life angel living on earth. No wonder, Lucius and Alessio had hidden him, he too would if he knew earlier his betrothed was this pretty.

  Ark wants to frown but had to keep his neutral face as he didn't want to offend the crowned prince.

"It's for the sake of my privacy, Your highness, I am not that of a social butterfly" Ark replied curtly to Helios. Ark was panicking inside his mind as he wanted Helios to leave and never come back.

Helios looks at his little fiancé, he was intrigued seeing his facial expressions slightly changes whenever he talk, he was so cute.

So cute that he was actually proud and pleased to be engaged to Ark and not someone else. He might kill them if they try to take Ark.

Ark then sigh softly, steeling himself. 'you can do it Ark! Just tell him, you're breaking off the engagement and you'll be free from him, easy peasy.'  Ark clenched his fist slightly determine, "Your highness I want to say—" Ark was cut off by Helios as he spoke,

"Little bunny, I want to personally invite you to live in the palace instead of this— pathetic of a mansion." Ark felt himself stiffened slightly, 'Little bunny?' who? Him? Why is Helios calling him that? Ark shook his head, dismissing the thought as he then try again,

"Your highness, if I must—" Helios cut him off again as he spoke proudly, "of course you'll be treated like royalty, everything you want, you will get. If you just ask, I'll give it to you."

Ark felt himself getting frustrated, 'I really want to punch his narcissistic face and shut him up', Ark tried again,

"Your highness, I really need your attention right no—" But Helios was still not listening to him as he just continued his rant.

"I can protect you better, give you a much better room, or give you a much more lavish life, if you ask me that's the highest—"

"I'M ANNULLING OUR ENGAGEMENT, YOUR HIGHNESS!" Arkian snapped as he stood up and shut his eyes. Helios was left speechless as the silence was suffocating.

"What did you say?" Helios asked in disbelief, annulling the engagement? Their engagement? What did he do wrong? Did he hurt Ark's feeling by insulting their mansion? Or is the gifts not enough? Does Ark want something else? Helios was panicking inside.

Ark sighs before repeating what he had shouted, "I said I want to cancel our engagement Your highness."

Helios felt something snapped inside him hearing Ark repeat what he had said, Ark's other words blurring from a static like sound inside his head,

Why?, why is his fiancé cancelling their engagement? He didn't do anything wrong, this was their first meeting, Ark might had heard about his daily encounter with Eros and was heartbroken, his poor fiance might have been devastated by the rumors or he might have thought that Eros and him were in a relationship, Ark doesn't have to worry about that, he'll get rid of Eros, He can't let Ark cancel their engagement, he can't let that happen, he won't let it happen.

"Who planted those ideas in your head little bunny? Did your brothers force you to do this?" Helios asked with a hint of malice, how dare they? How dare they get in-between of him and his little fiancé.

Ark look at him confused before trying to explain again, "what? No my brothers didn't force me, I just think it's best for us to just—"

"No"  Helios simply and sharply replied as he clenched his fist. He was angry, he was fucking furious not at Ark but to those who had planted the seed of doubt in Ark's innocent mind. His poor bunny.

Ark was flabbergasted as he stopped what he was saying, "N-no? What do you mean 'no' Your highness?"

Helios just look at him blankly and sharply, "exactly what I had said, 'No', meaning I rejected the dissolving of our engagement"

Arkian was shocked and was panicking inside, this wasn't part of his plan, he thought Helios would agree easily seeing he was infatuated with Eros but he flat out rejected the annulment of the engagement.

"Your highness, I'm just saying it's better for you to find someone else as such I am—" Ark's sentence was cut off as Helios gently cupped his cheek and look at him lovingly.

"Shh, we're not going to annul our engagement little bunny, I refuse so. You can't do anything since without my permission, you're still my little bunny, my sweet fiance" Helios cooed lovingly and borderline obsessively to Ark.

Ark resolution dissolve in a state of shock, he knew he couldn't get out of their engagement without Helios's permission. He need to shift Helios affection.

"But what about Eros? He might—" Ark's sentence was cut off as Helios put his finger and coo at Ark.

"Shh, hush that pretty lips of yours, I am not changing my mind little bunny." Helios then stood up as he gently caress his sweet bunny's white hair.

"In two months we'll be having a ball and announcing our engagement there, okay?" Helios said with a smile.

Ark just look at him with hesitation, wanting to protest again before surrending and just nodding, "I understand, Your highness...."

Helios kisses Ark's forehead lovingly as  he look at Ark possessively, "good boy. I'll be leaving first now little bunny, I'll see you tomorrow."

Helios then left with Marquis Thomas happily as Ark stayed seated with his eyes widened from the show of affection by Helios.

This is not going according to plan, this isn't the plot at all. Ark remembered in his first life meeting Helios, Helios plain ignored him and just look at him bored, he quickly wanted annul the engagement but Ark pleaded not to do it, which Helios bregudgingly agreed to.

Ark sighs tiredly as he lay his head on the table before ruffling his hair in irritation.

"I need to think of a another way to get him to dissolve our engagement."
