Author's Note: Hallo!!! o/
Sorry it's been a while, but am back for as long as I can! The next chapter is already being written so it hopefully shouldn't be too wide of a gap like this one is with last chapter! Anyway, Enjoy!!
—The next day, when Tommy woke up, he looked around and realized that he had fallen asleep in the basement. He looked at the old clock by the ladder and saw that the golden bar was between the black and the blue, indicating the morning. Tommy knew he had to get out of there soon so the room wasn't discovered by anyone who wasn't supposed to know about it, which was a lot of people, but five more minutes wouldn't kill him if he just laid there in his thoughts... He fell asleep again.
The next time he woke up, he checked the clock once more and saw the gold pointing to the area just between the sun and where the night goes to the day, the time when Dream would normally come to get him.
Tommy's eyes widened and he shot up off the couch. "Fuck, Dream is going to be over soon."
He dusted himself off and speed walked to the ladder, quickly climbing up it and onto the hardwood floor. He closed the trap door and pulled the rug back over it, then looked over to the bookshelf and sighed. "I always hate this part."
After around fifteen agonizing minutes, he managed to get the shelf back on its spot on the rug and door. This time with just a little lump where he couldn't get the shelf on without the scrunch up. He's tried to get rid of it, but he could hardly lift one corner of it on his own, let alone an entire side to fix a stupid lump.
He sighed and backed away from the shelf, then glazed around to make sure nothing would look too out of the ordinary. He didn't want anyone to think something was up and start asking questions.
As his eyes landed upon a mirror, he was staring at himself and realized... he looked like he just come out of an abandoned building. His hair was ruffled up with dust and some cobwebs in it and his clothes had a white-gray tint to them.
Tommy groaned at the sight, "You have got to be fucking kidding me."
He debated on showering or trying to wipe it all off but didn't think he had enough time. Besides, Dream would get suspicious of him if he showered out of nowhere because they had to constantly push Tommy to take a bath.
A thought came to mind and he quickly ran out the door, making sure to shut it of course. He flew up into the air, hoping that the dust and webs would be forced out from the gusts of air that passed him. He did loops, zigzags, and even a couple free falls, but he was still a mess.
He groaned and flew towards the man-made pond that was nearby. It was made when Tommy and his brothers decided that it would be a good idea to experiment with explosives. They made a stone room with a button that was hooked up to plenty of sticks of dynamite and the spot they put the dynamite in was then a crater.
To say the least, Phil wasn't very happy that they did it on their land, but it ended up working out pretty well because it was beside some sort of water spring. Phil had terraformed it and created a cute little waterfall. And by little, that meant little with how Phil normally builds!
The waterfall looked as if it had been there the entire time. It was pouring out of some sort of hill, because Tommy's father was soo over the top, trying to impress people to make them forget he's an ancient being. Well, that's what Wilbur and Techno always said, at least. And Tommy couldn't help but agree with this! Especially since they got to see Phil get frustrated and try to defend himself against the three of them, by coming up with things that made him not look or act so old. But it just made him sound older to them.
Tommy saw the waterfall not too far from him now, vines, flowers, and moss growing around the pond and some animals hanging out by it, giving it a more mystical look. If Tommy weren't in such a hurry, he might've admired its beauty for a moment. However, time was running out before Dream arrived.
He quickly flew up, then did a nose dive right into the middle of the pond. Making a splash that startled some of the animals, like deer, away. He swam back up and went underneath the waterfall, scrubbing at his hair and getting the cobwebs out of it.
Once he deemed it to be good enough, he swam back to the shore, not paying any mind to the frogs jumping away from him. Tommy's wings lit on fire and evaporated the water on him. His hair was most likely a mess but at least he didn't look as if he crawled out of a tomb in a cemetery.
He quickly flew back to the community house and plopped onto a chair, then grabbed a random piece of paper, folding it as much as he could before undoing it and trying to beat how many folds each time while he waited for Dream to show up.
