Kenan had been pacing the small restaurant’s waiting area for a few minutes, his mind racing. The media storm around their recent Instagram follow had intensified, and he felt a growing sense of urgency to address it face-to-face with Seda. They needed to talk, and he hoped it would help smooth things over.

When Seda finally arrived, Kenan saw her approach with a mix of determination and apprehension. She looked as if she’d been through a whirlwind herself, her eyes betraying a hint of exhaustion. He waved her over, trying to maintain a calm demeanor.

“Seda, thanks for coming,” Kenan said as they sat down. “I figured we should talk about this before it gets out of hand.”

Seda nodded, but her expression was guarded. “Yeah, it’s been a crazy few days. I wasn’t expecting all this attention.”

Kenan leaned forward, trying to convey his sincerity. “I didn’t either. I thought following each other on Instagram would be a simple gesture. Clearly, it’s turned into something much bigger.”

Seda’s eyes narrowed slightly. “That’s the problem, Kenan. I didn’t realize that my personal space would be invaded like this. It feels like we’re not just playing a role anymore; it’s starting to affect my real life.”

Kenan’s frustration began to surface. “I understand that it’s overwhelming, but this was part of the deal. We agreed to this arrangement, and now that it’s gaining attention, we need to manage it better.”

Seda’s voice grew sharper. “Manage it? You think I’m just going to sit here and pretend everything’s fine while my feed is flooded with comments about us? This isn’t just about managing attention; it’s about my life being scrutinized.”

Kenan’s face reddened. “I didn’t ask for this level of scrutiny either! It’s not just your life that’s being affected. My privacy is being invaded too. I’m trying to keep things as normal as possible while maintaining our image.”

“Normal?” Seda’s voice was incredulous. “You think posting a picture and showing up at a game is ‘normal’? You’re a public figure; this is part of your life, but it’s not the same for me. I didn’t sign up for this kind of exposure.”

Kenan’s frustration boiled over. “You think I’m enjoying this? I thought we were in this together. I’m trying to protect you from the worst of it, but it feels like you’re not even trying to understand how it affects me.”

Seda stood up abruptly, her face flushed with anger. “You’re not the only one dealing with this! I’m trying to make the best of a situation that’s already out of my control. Maybe if you actually considered how this affects me instead of just focusing on your own problems, we could find some common ground.”

Kenan’s eyes widened as Seda’s words hit him hard. He stood up too, his voice raised. “You think I’m not aware of how this affects you? I’m trying to balance everything and make it work. But if you’re not willing to meet me halfway, then maybe this whole arrangement was a mistake.”

The tension between them was palpable. The restaurant’s ambient noise seemed to fade as their argument reached its peak. After a moment, Seda took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

“I didn’t come here to fight,” she said, her voice strained. “But it’s clear we’re not on the same page. Maybe we need to rethink how we’re handling this, because right now, it’s only causing more stress.”

Kenan nodded, his expression a mix of frustration and resignation. “Agreed. Let’s take a step back and figure out how to deal with this. But we need to communicate better if we’re going to make this work.”

Seda gave a curt nod and headed towards the exit, leaving Kenan standing alone at the table. As he watched her leave, he felt madness storm over him. Why can be a woman so stressful.
