Kennedy
We climbed up the four flights of stairs to my flat in silence, the climb didn't seem to impact him at all as he acted like it was nothing to him reminding me of the rigorous training, he must partake in to become the next leader of his pack. That and the twisting bands of muscle in his back that I couldn't help but watch as he climbed ahead of me. How I wished to see underneath his shirt.
"It's the third door down." I pointed breathlessly normally I would've taken a few breaks on my journey up but I wouldn't dare show any weakness around him. I would rather faint than show him that I needed to stop.
"Okay," Damon said stopping at the top of the landing waiting for me to catch up, his fingers twitched at his side like he wanted to reach out for me, but surely, I was thinking too much into his mannerisms.
We walked to the old wooden door which had peeling white paint on it, something I hadn't really cared about until now when he was able to analyse it under his scrutinising grey eyes.
"Well, that's me." I turned around to face him watching as he cocked his head to the side inhaling deeply. "What is it?"
"Do you have people over?" He inhaled again, "there's a lot of people in your flat Kennedy."
"My mum probably just has some people over." I brushed him off trying to hide my disappointment at the fact. All I really wanted to do was go to sleep after a long day at school and an even longer day at work, now I would be kept up all night by drunk people singing, shouting, and dancing.
His dark eyebrow rose again and I debated telling him that if he kept doing that, he'd get wrinkles. Before I could say anything else my front door swung open, turning around I saw my mum standing there, her light blonde hair was swept up in a messy bun with little tendrils of hair loose grazing her sharp cheekbones. She looked beautiful in leggings and a long-sleeved green t-shirt and if I didn't know better, I would have assumed that Damon had been lying about there being people over if I couldn't already hear the music blaring from inside.
"Hi honey," Mum grinned at me, her glazed blue eyes looking to the left where Damon was standing with his arms crossed over his chest. "And who's this?"
"This is Damon, he's a friend." My tone was icy cold as I glanced at the half-drank paper cup she was clutching. She raised an eyebrow at me with a soft smirk on her face.
"Well, I've met most of Kennedy's friends, so it's interesting to see a new face." She winked at me ignoring the way my cheeks flushed bright pink. "Well come on in! The more the merrier."
"Mum!" I hissed glaring at her with wide eyes, she just shrugged her shoulders looking down at me still with that teasing smirk on her face. Before she could continue embarrassing me, a burly man pushed his way into the doorway. My mum stumbled on her feet which made me clench my jaw. I only bit down on my tongue harder when I saw the way his arm wrapped around her waist.
"This is Jason," she pressed her palm flat against his chest, "Jason this is my daughter Kennedy and her friend Damon."
Someone inside shouted my mum's name, distracting her from the conversation. Jason's eyes crawled down my body lingering on my chest, his arm was still wrapped around my mum's waist as he did so.
"Are you joining us, Kennedy?"
My face twisted as I sneered at him, he was a creep. Simply put, I would lock myself in my room all night probably using the time to research for that stupid project.
A warm body pressed against my back. I had forgotten Damon was there. He had been so quiet. A scolding hot hand was placed on my hip, his thumb pressing against the strip of exposed flesh between my shirt and my shorts.
