I'm sorry this chapter came in late. I've been juggling writing with other personal matters, so I apologize for the delay. However, I made time to write this, so enjoy!😉☺️

Enny's shocking announcement left everyone in stunned silence, unable to utter a word. As she walked away and shut her door, my mother immediately began pounding on it, demanding that Enny open up.

"Is she drunk?" Kelvin's mother asked, clearly displeased with Enny's behavior.

"Enny!" my mother continued to yell, banging on the door.

I tried to calm her down. "Mom, please stop hitting the door. It's not going to help."

"Enny, where are you?" Jumoke asked, rushing into the room, followed by the rest of the girls.

"She's inside," I said, gesturing towards the door.

Barbra immediately went to the door, reaching for the knob, but I stopped her by grabbing her hand.

"I think you all should leave," I said firmly.

"But we have to talk to her!" Jumoke protested, her eyes wide with concern.

"Not like this," I insisted. "She's not in a state to talk right now."

"But ..." Jumoke began.

"I'll speak to her alone," I interrupted, my voice firm. "You all should leave."

"But the wedding ceremony is in just four hours," Ajoke reminded me.

"I'll talk to her and let you know her final decision," I said, my resolve unwavering. "Until then, everyone should stay calm."

With that, I waited for the others to file out of the room, leaving me alone with the closed door.

"Enny, could you please open the door?" I called out.

"Go away, Cess," she sniffled in response.

"There's no need to be embarrassed; it's just me," I assured her.

"Cess, please...just go away."

"Please, Enny, at least let me see you," I begged, leaning closer to the door.
A minute of silence passed, and then I spoke again, my voice almost a whisper.

"Why do I feel like I've failed you as an older sister?" I murmured, fighting back tears. "Enny, please, speak to me."

The door creaked open a crack, just enough for me to catch a glimpse of Enny's tear-streaked face.

"You didn't fail me, Cess," she whispered, her voice hoarse from crying. "It's not your fault."

I stepped into the room and closed the door behind me, reaching out to pull my sister into a tight embrace.

"Then what is it, Enny?

"Kelvin has a child," she sobbed.

I guided her to the bed, my mind reeling from the revelation.

"You say what?" I asked, still in disbelief.

She sniffled, wiping away tears. "He has a six-year-old child."

I lifted her chin to meet her gaze, and she nodded weakly.

"How? When?" I demanded, trying to make sense of the situation.

"I don't know," she said, wiping away the tears rolling down her chin.

"How did you find out?" I asked gently.
