~ Time to be strong ~
After the refurbishments and new designs to my house, I was finally able to check it out. The interior of the living room was plain and simple just how I liked it. White coloured walls dominated the majority of the living room. There were grey curtains drawn back by one wall which had two large transparent doors leading out to the balcony. That has now become my chilling spot. There was a long light grey sofa and two small ones. A wooden table stood in the middle of the room with two funny round shaped looking wooden chairs lay on each side. The black flat screen TV hung up on the wall opposite the sofa. A big, rectangle piece of turquoise glass sat behind the TV up on the wall.
Although the floor was what you expected in a bathroom being big, black, rectangle matte tiles with white lines around the edges, there was a cream rug big enough to cover the a medium part of the living room. The light bulb was covered with a big white ball with daisies all around. The atmosphere was beautiful.
As I made my way to one of the bedrooms, I made a mental note to meet the neighbours later. "Like that's gonna happen." I whispered to myself.
Opening the turquoise door, I couldn't help but realise how grand everything seemed. I knew I requested this but it still surprised me seeing it in the flesh. If only we could all be here to share the feeling of awe I felt as I noticed the light grey walls and the chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There was a flat screen TV on the wall smaller and lower this time as it sat directly opposite the footstool of my bed. My bed had a matte black frame and the mattress was covered by light grey sheets.
The crimson duvet stood out and added a splash of colour to my room. It was...nice. There was a vase of red roses and a desk where I could work. I drew back the flower designed curtains allowing sunshine to seep in through the windows and threw myself onto the bed. This room was mine. All mine, but I was alone.
'....I wanna rock with somebody...
I wanna take shots with somebody (shots shots shots shots)
My phone rang as I got up and searched for it in my bag. It's funny because I most definitely needed to take shots with somebody right now and Shan just called at the right time.
"Hey girlie! Mum told me that you were moving in today. Why didn't your ass tell me?!"
I swear, sometimes I forget this girl has American roots. But I've kind of gotten used to it now, maybe too used to it since sometimes I found myself speaking american slang.
"I know I know, I'm sorry, I was gonna tell you after I got to settle and you know..look around a bit."
The line went silent for a bit and I knew we were both thinking the same thing. If they were all alive they would've loved it.
"Anyway baby girl, I know that you got that big ass house to yourself and you know it ain't have to be that way.."
I could already hear her smiling on the other side.
"Get your ass over here." I responded, in the best american accent I could muster.
"Yeah, no you need to work on that, honey." Shan then said seriously. I could just imagine her shaking her head. This girl, I swear.
"Just bring a bottle of Disaronno and a bottle of coke please...oh yeah, i'm gonna call Safira and see if she wants to join. I said that i'd call her anyway so why not?"
Shan and I had gotten closer to Safira after the incident at Hyde two and a half weeks ago.
"Who do you think I am? One bottle of Disaronno? Am I a mug? No wayyyy ! I'm bringing three and good idea." I just laughed. This girl was going to be wasted by the end of the day, she's a lightweight.
