Hi, Lil' Bean here!
Sorry for taking so long to update! Lately, I've been tasked with a lot of school-related work and I don't know how often updates will be so hang tight! Here's the chapter...I leaned my head against the back of the carriage, looking outside the carriage. All that was visible was the end of the road and the edge of the forest across the ditch. It was early morning, or at least that's what Siana's brother said. What was his name? I couldn't remember so I'm just going to call him Ab, for "Arrogant boy" Oh wait that's weird you know what I'll call him Abe. Yup, that sounds a lot better!
My head shifts to what's inside the carriage, Shaka Is sitting across from me and Siana is fast asleep next to him, Shaka looks at me, his eyes tired.
"What are you looking at?" He says to me his eyes quickly opening again as he tries to stay awake.
"I'm looking at the annoying rat sitting across from me what else?" I say looking him dead in the eyes."
"Hahaha" He gives a fake laugh rolling his eyes at me." "Good one how long have you been looking at this handsome rat"
"Long enough to know I want to throw him into a shredder," I say rolling my eyes.
"Whats a shredder...?" He looks at me confused. Oh ya, they don't have shreders here! Dang, the only time I'd want one around they don't have it!
"Umm, it's like a giant machine that shreds something into tiny pieces," I say, wanting to knock myself on the head as I turn back to the window, the darkness slowly disappearing, the sun rising. A few minutes pass and I get curious as to why Shaka stopped talking, I look away from the window, and back at Shaka, who is sitting slumped in his spot fast asleep, drool coming from the corner of his mouth, his hair a mess and his head against the window. I roll my eyes, "Stupid mage." I sit back trying to get comfortable. The sleepiness finally catches up, and my eyes slowly close as I drift asleep.
~Time skip~
"It's been a month and I still don't get how this place has technology but no shredders!" I shout frustrated as I roll across my bed. A phone in my hands. A notification goes off and I look up. "Ooooh, I can read another chapter of WAMMAP! YAY!" (I am a fan of "Who made me a princess"! I think Lucas and Athy are just so cute!) I open an app to read the webcomic completely ignoring the rest of the world for five minutes. "Wahh over already!? I'm too broke for this!"
I roll across the bed frustrated. "Maybe I can read another webcomic. Marionetta...? SBG...? Wahh I read both of them! how is this world connected to Earth anyway...?" I say staring at my screen for a bit too long flinching as I instinctively hide the phone under my pillow, my head jerking up as I look at my door, Shaka and Siana looking at me with a look that said, 'Really again?'
I look at the two of them sheepishly scratching the back of my head. "I was uhh reading...?"
"No you weren't," Siana says pulling me off the bed and out the room.
"You are way too obsessed with those webcomics!" Shaka says helping Siana drag me into the hallway.
"No, I'm not! You two just haven't found good webcomics to read!" I shout offended. "And I was only on my phone for a few minutes!"
"Uh-huh? Sure you were, you were on that phone for a short enough time that you forgot about going to Siana's academy?" Shaka says looking at me, an eyebrow raised.
"Wait that was today!?" I shout panicked.
"Yes that was today and we're gonna be late!" Shaka says as we walk outside towards a carriage. "Come on we can't just have you lying around reading and watching things on your phone!"
"You're starting to sound like my parents..." I say looking at him with an annoyed expression as I reluctantly follow the duo into the carriage, I sit across from the two just like we had on our way here, It turns out that Siana is the daughter of a duke, and a very pampered, it's really surprising that she isn't a brat. Today we're going to go see if we can join the academy. The Mysticraft Academy. A prestigious school that accepts everyone but only the best graduate.
"Well your parents obviously have a reason!" Shaka says jokingly staring at me, Siana laughs clutching her stomach while I just stare at him in disbelief. You stupid mage! I think to myself, I just cross my arms and legs and look out the window. Other than this stupid annoying little pr- I mean mage, things have been pretty slow and chill, I've gotten used to life in this new reality, turns out they have only caught up with the technology from earth, but they haven't made many advancements in medicine. Which is a bit shocking now that I think about it! They have technology that's somehow connected to the technology on earth, but their medicines and vacines arent' caught up. I sigh closing my eyes.
The ditches next to the roads are filled with mud and water from the recent downpours and it's amazing that it's not even raining today. A few minutes pass in silence and I reach into my pocket for my phone and my eyes widen, MY PHONE! noooo! Now I can't read Mafia nanny...(T^T)
Shaka chuckles. "Whats wrong did you forget something...?" He says a stupid grin on his face.
"Oh shut up you stupid clown!" I say slumping back into my seat.
"Oh ya? MAKE ME!" He says making faces.
"Oh wipe that stupid look off of your ugly face before you taste the bottom of my shoes!" I say taking off one of my shoes.
"OH I'm so sCAreD!" He says making faces. Let's just say the rest of the carriage ride consisted of screams of terror and and tears of pain.
