As we all should know, the picture above is NOT mine it's just to give an idea of what the Academy looks like.

We exit the carriage, I'm wearing a proud smirk as I hop out after Siana. Shaka's face was red and bruised. The bright sunlight fell on a large building resembling a palace. It's much bigger than an average school on Earth would be. Towering over us, so close yet so far from us. It's standing right across the campus. Even from this distance, the building makes anyone passing the building look like an ant.

"Wow, Well that's one way to tell everyone that looks poor," I say, wiping an imaginary tear away. What else would I expect from a prestigious school that nobles would attend?

"This is huge!" Shaka says already halfway across the campus. The building was blinding with its bright snow-white paint. The palace's towers are a golden-orange color. The entrance had a large door, and a circular stained-glass window above it. The stained glass portrays a picture of a young knight, a mage, a swordswoman, and a muscular man with a broadsword standing next to an elf. They all stand next to the head of a dragon. In sculpted stone clouds above the stained glass, the statue of a beautiful woman stands looking down at them. Her face was covered with the hood of her robe.

My jaw drops at the sight of the beautiful sculpture. Someone nudges my arm, I look to my left to see Shaka grinning from ear to ear.

"Cool right? It's about the hero's party back in the dragon age, they saved the empire when it was just a small kingdom." Shaka proudly looks up, happy he knew how to explain it to me. I look at him curiously. Throughout the entire month I've been here it turns out there have been a bunch of fantasy novel-related things like magic, the nobility mages, and dragons, but this is the only time I've heard of the hero's party outside of the books from the Gladstone's private library.

Before the empire became a thriving and powerful society it was a small kingdom at the risk of falling, all because the larger kingdoms around them were rapidly taking land and expanding. At the same time, we were closest to the volcanoes and mountains. And for anyone who has a way of thinking it's pretty where I am going with this! The dragon species were a large problem for the empire at the time because the dragons needed the violet flame to hatch. Of course, we can make the violet flame but the dragons needed authentic and natural violet flame, for if you made it, it wouldn't have the magic properties. And if you had an archmage cast a spell to give the artificial flame magic it wouldn't be able to be used more than one time and even then it depends on how powerful the spell and the user (The person using the flame) is.

Of course, it is also hazardous to find or make it ... unless you were a dragon there would be no point in trying. The least dangerous way to see the violet flame was in a dormant volcano though it's extremely rare. The hardest way known to mankind to obtain it naturally is by finding the actual source. The source is a violet flame amulet. I read in a book that the Hero's party went on a perilous journey to obtain the flame. The closest they have ever gotten was through their mage who was powerful enough to overpower the amulet, but even after overpowering it to hold the amulet...She died from the overwhelming amount of raw mana. Oh, why does this feel so familiar? Whatever!

"I know it's cool you two but we should get going now!" Sianna shouts from the door. I look up, finally remembering we were trying to get emitted into the Mysticraft Academy.

"Oh right sorry, Sianna!" I shouted running up the stairs to join her as she entered the building still thinking of the mage's fate. Just as I approach the door's handle, I gasp a purple-ish blue light emitting from the door's handle. "What the...?" The light spreads from the handels traveling throughout the unique and intricate carvings in the door. The light spreads like a wildfire from the doors to the walls permanently lighting the carvings in its blue light.

My skin was glowing in the light. "Wow... what's happening?" I whisper as I slowly turn to Shaka. His face is frozen, as if in pure shock. "Shaka? Are you alright? It's like you've seen a ghost..." I say, a bit worried.

"What's taking you guys so long!?" Shouts Sianna as she pushes the doors open, the light fades immediately as I get pushed by the door down the stairs onto my knees.

"Oww!" I say rubbing my knees, they have minor bruises so it wasn't that bad.

"Oops...sorry!" Sianna says sheepishly as she walks over to help me up. Cleaning off the dirt from my dress, I get up looking at the minor bruises on my knees. "Oh no! We should get you checked on."

"Huh? What why? It's just a minor bruise." I say confused as Sianna Leads us into the lobby of the main building. The building was relatively fancy. The ceiling was high and the shape of a dome. Old statues and silhouettes were carved into the stone used to build the old building.

In the middle of the large lobby, was a circular desk where a middle-aged woman was seated calculating something on a computer. The computer looked like an older computer from the late 19th century. On either side of the woman was a curved staircase that led up to the second floor and so on.

"Lady Sianna, you can make your way to the Headmistress' office when you're ready." Says the lady, only briefly looking up. Sianna smiles and makes her way to one of the staircases on one side of the desk. Ending the brief and awkward exchange.

Hi guys!

Sorry for the VERY late update. This chapter hasn't actually been edited because I feel like you've all waited a bit too long. And by a bit, I mean multiple months. I'm working on chapter nine right now so hold on tight!
