Dinner was boring, except Mrs. Clous told the maids, tomorrow at dawn we're finally going OUTSIDE. Before we could adjust the news, she addressed back at the dorms. As I came up the stairs, I saw Sheon, looked at me worried, again.
"Miko, come", He said. I followed on to the bed.
"Miko'' he sighed "Tell me, what's wrong." I'm not stupid- I never told myself that I am.
" I- uh, nothing nothing at all heh'', I chuckled nervously.
What was he saying? Is he trying to apologize? Or trying to find out if I was ok either way I think. "Well Sheon''-Beeeeep, That's the curfew warning.
"Well, goodnight", I said quickly.
To be honest, I'm afraid what Sheon would do next for some reason, and he even wants to escape, they're cameras in each room, to watch in case of any human or animal escapes. But I don't think anyone has escaped this castle, yet. I expected to see what Sheon said next, but he lifted his bed cover-up and fell asleep, so quickly. Maybe he's just tired, or eagerly going to bed, and faced the chores tomorrow.
Before I could finally close my eyes and discover what dreams might hold, I saw a dim flashing light, flickering. I lift the covers and tip-toed to that tiny, blurry window from the heavy fog in the afternoon. Even, the fog can't trick my eyes. The flicker, bright light, looked like a light source, and for what? I remembered, when I just younger, like 10 years old I'd remembered light if they're any trouble or in case of emergency,
Not like we ever need it.
Oh now I know, it's a distress beam.
But for an emergency. Did someone escape? Did the guards get a new high-power flashlight? Am I asking too many QUESTIONS!?
No, if someone ever escapes, the fifty-year-old, unused sirens would be high-power alarmed. And the guards would have told Mrs. Clous or someone else, like the servants would complain.
Or..no...I can't be dreaming the beams are too bright. But whatever it is, I'm going to find out tomorrow, even if it kills me to the headmaster.
Who knows, I may not be the only one alerted, high chance.
*Click* Oh no! I should have known, I'm so stupid.
The cameras must have known I've disobeyed my curfew. And now I'm being charged by the Headmaster.
Like those Maids!!
The fact makes me dizzy about my future, holds punishments, and the facts that I can't think anymore. My eyelids are shutting down, I'm so exhausted. The last thing I remembered is the destress beam, glowing like the ragged sun, from those fairy tales.
Boy, I wished I could go outside. I wished I could see the world on my own. I wished I could escape this prison and lived my own life, and no one would even care to notice.
But that's never going to happen. Then, without any control, my eyes shut tight, and I fainted without notice, but with a big loud Thump!
