After attending The Professor's welcome to the gang, Phoenix decided to take saunter around the grounds of Toledo. She wanted to be able to feel the warm breeze soften her cheeks, and whisk her golden locks into the current. She deeply took a breath, the fresh air filling her lungs. This calmed her. Phoenix was fearless, but starting the preparation for a heist like this is just enough to slightly daunt her.

Once she had finished, she decided to relax at a short wall, before the entrance, and get lost in memory at the scene of the wondrous night sky.

Curled up with her knees to her chest, and resting on a fallen-down log, María gazed up at the luminous night sky, recalling events from the past spent with her family. A mother, a father, three sisters, and a dog: sounded like a family that would be presented in the movies. Suppose they would have fit the picture, but not in the ways many would imagine. Would have been classed as 'entertainment- gold' despite; but solely by the viewers, and never by the ones involved.

She took a deep breath, attempting to hold back the tears. After years of dreaming about escaping, she had finally done it. And even though she now felt a lot more secure and cherished in the place she was frequently staying; she couldn't help but feel crushed that it had come to this.

Now spending many of her nights at the monastery Martín and Andrés call home, María found herself away and protected from the rows and distress her house held. She didn't live there, but it definitely felt more like home than her abode ever did.

True. She did have a mother, a father, three sisters, and a dog, but for a long time, the people, that were supposed to be her family, never gave her that impression. It was a fact that her and her sisters got along well, but were they close? No. María was always trying to find a way to break free of the house she lived in due to her father's actions, resulting in her hardly having the chance to form close bonds with her siblings. And her mother didn't care. Never has, never will. It was true that she had given birth to María, but she didn't worry about the future events her daughter had to face. She was well-kept and put together, but that only made her narcissistic personality stand out even further.
