the sun set relatively slowly, a blessing for the group sat upon the old car, close enough to the cliff to get the right shot but not too close to be dangerous. not that the car could somehow roll off considering it had broken down earlier that day. they watched as the camera crew set up for the next shot, she tried not to make her shivers obvious. her shorts seemed like a good idea until the breeze picked up, the girl focused solely on wrapping her arms around herself to warm herself up.

"you cold?" she heard from next to her.

callie turned her head to face the boy sitting next to her, grabbing the blanket that was draped over his legs, "oh how chivalrous," she teased, taking half of the blanket that he had offered.

luke just looked at her for a moment, taking her in, the way the breeze moved her hair, golden hour illuminating her features, "you know, i still can't believe you agreed to this."

"me either, honestly," she almost laughed, "i jumped fully clothed into a pool for this."

luke chuckled, "you know what i meant."

"yeah im just too mainstream for this," she said sarcastically, shaking her head, "but seriously, this was a lot of fun."

"really?" luke smiled when she nodded, "this seems like the beginning of a great friendship to me."

"oh for sure," she agreed, even though she knew being publicly friends with the boys would result in a lot of fan pushback.

"and hopefully a friendship with makayla," calum chimed in, sitting on the other side of callie.

"calum," luke sighed, "i thought we agreed not to bring that up."

callie laughed, almost nervously, "do you have a crush on mak, calum?"

"celebrity crush," he defended weakly.

"i could talk to her for you," callie offered, a bright smile on her face as she saw calum get a bit excited.

"yeah but don't make it like obvious that i want you to talk to her about me," calum instructed, clearly taking this very seriously.

callie had to fight the urge to laugh, "oh of course."

the group's conversation was halted when a camera man came up to them, part of the 'making of' part of the video. callie immediately looked to luke, expecting him to take over the explanation considering he was closer to the camera. the girl didn't notice it would look like she was staring.

"we are doing the dusk shot," luke started, and she just smiled from next to him, "it's supposed to be us just sitting and maybe like stargazing, very nostalgic despite the movie star next to me."

callie almost groaned as luke pointed at her, "don't call me that," she forced out a laugh, knowing luke would know it was a joke, but the viewers wouldn't.

"why? it's what you are," luke almost sounded offended, the two looking at eachother and not noticing the way calum scooted away, as if giving them their moment.

"movie star is an olympic stretch," she insisted, her eyes moving from luke to the camera.

"alright i'm next to a very humble movie star," luke continued, putting a friendly arm around callie to bring her closer in the shot, "who must've hit her head very hard before agreeing to this."

"it's true, i was tricked into being here," callie agreed sarcastically, a shiver going up her spine when luke touched her. the crew shouted out, the shot ready and the camera man moved away as everyone got ready. the director and camera operators moved around, finding the right moment to call action.

"wait what do we do?" luke murmured next to her.

"this is your music video, luke, you should know this," she fixed her hair quickly, "just let the director direct."

luke nodded, he looked at her for a moment too long before action was called. callie pretended not to feel his gaze, or was ready to excuse it as him being starstruck. the shoot went on, the last day of the three day production going into the night. the stars were visible when they finally wrapped, and callie didn't know whether to feel relieved or slightly upset that she would presumably never see these guys again. she happily hugged all four of them as she left, luke touch lingering on her lower back just a smidge too long. callie left with a smile on her face, no idea of the whirlwind yet to come.
