As 'Pyramids' played off the living room tv, I watched Xo clean the lamb chops I smiled, as I embraced her from behind as I bent down kissing her neck.
"Move Mr I'm trying to cook" she teased as she lightly pushed herself back on me.
"My bad scary" backing away from her I put my hands in the air in surrender.
"Who's scary? I'm pretty sure last night you were the one like 'aight get up'-"
Bursting out into laughter as i started shushing her i couldn't help but think to how she outdid me last night.
"Now who's scary" she rolled her eyes as she pointed at me with nothing but challenge in her eyes.
"Man stop starting shit you can't finish" I spoke as I took one of the limes she was cutting.
"Oh I can finish but we have to get up super early in the morning!" Xo spoke reminding me about the breakfast we agreed to with my moms.
My two favorite ladies were finally meeting . My mom was beyond excited and I could tell so was Xo.
Relationships weren't something I avoided, they just didn't come to me and I was fine with that. So my mom was beyond excited to meet the woman who changed my mind.
"I have the most perfect white dress for the party tonight" Xo spun around to the stove as she watched me making the citrus rice for the lamb chops.
"I'd like to see you in another type of white dress" i raised the wooden spook to her lips having her taste the sauce.
Smiling in an approval she couldn't help but giggle.
"You're so sprung, keep cooking like this and I'll hop in that dress quicker than you can nut" she teased .
Erupting into laughter I couldn't help but laugh at how quick witted she was. I had nothing on her when it came to comebacks I had officially been beat.
Later That evening
"Come on ma you ready?" As stood in the doorway of the room as she had been in the bathroom for over an hour doing god knows what.
"Didn't I tell you beauty takes time?" She spoke as she opened the bathroom door.
"Not yours, yours is a given, you look gorgeous ma" I bent down kissing her forehead .
