I was quite surprised with his response. Is this his true colors ? But wait, why... why did he say it like that ? Silence filled the room. Woozi walked closer to me."I take your silence as a yes. Starting from now, you're working with me. While I was away for practice, you can explore this studio as much as you want. And try to make a use of your knowledge in producing music or something. Don't waste that talent of yours. Got it ?" Woozi explained to me of what I should do from now on. I was still in shock, hesitant if I really can use his workplace. "Are you sure..? Leaving me here, use your workplace just like that ?" I asked for confirmation, of course I will try to make another suggestion for him, like maybe I can work from home ? I have what I need at my apartment but still can't compare to his complete equipment.
"It's okay, I'm not forcing you to work here from 9 to 5. Come whenever you feel like it. Whenever you have something to pour out into a song." He said and looked at me with his eyes, waiting for my response. Wait, did he just said, song ??
I looked at him back, "Song ..?!"
He smile and let out a small laugh.
"Yep, a song. You can sing, you can make some music. Oh .. yes, this is your first task. Go and find your inspiration, convey your feelings into your songs. It's up to you what genre or style you want to do. All I'm gonna do is listen to yours when it's done." Woozi gives me a first task. To make a song, but it's been so long since I ever try to make one... what if...
"Don't worry about anything, I want you to feel free to do whatever you want. Make a simple song, create a tune, whatever. I... have a high expectation for you. Whatever you do will never make me feel disappointed or regret. You know what I mean ?" He gave me a warm look, yet hurts. Is he hurting ? But why ?
I nodded at him. I totally get what does he mean, but what I can't get was... "Woozi.. why... are you doing this for me ? It's like... you want to make up with me for something, but I don't know what is it. Do we ever met before ? Way before I started working as a staff for your team. Because I had a feelings like we do, care to explain me that ?" I throw an endless question at him. I get the feelings that he knows about me a little bit too much. Set aside about how he knows about me singing anon, but how... how he knows that I can make a music and everything like that ? Was he also know about that day ?
He seems want to avoid my questions, he grabbed his phone and walked away.
"I'm sorry, but I have a practice now.. you can go when you're done here. See you tomorrow"
He left me in his studio. He's really trying to hide something from me. I took a deep breath and looked around. The room was filled with high-end equipment, instruments, and soundboards. It was a producer's paradise. My fingers tingled with anticipation and anxiety. It had been a while since I last tried to create something, and the thought of doing it now, under Woozi's gaze, was terrifying.
I sat down at the piano, letting my fingers hover over the keys. Memories of late-night composing sessions flooded my mind, but they were clouded with uncertainty. Why did Woozi believe in me so much? And what was he hiding?
The door to the studio creaked open, breaking my train of thought. I turned to see a familiar face – Jeonghan, one of the vocalists from Woozi's team.
"Oh it's you, I heard you're working here now. Congratulations" Jeonghan said with a friendly smile and a hint of relief on his face. I quite surprised that he already knows I work here now. And that's make me think.. I asked Jeonghan "Oppa... do you, by any chance know why he's so keen on me working here?"
Jeonghan shrugged. "Woozi doesn't open up easily, but when he does, it's because he sees something special. Just trust him and trust yourself."
With those words, Jeonghan left for practice, and I was alone again. But it still bugging me about the real reason he wants me to work with him. I shook my head and sighed, decided to take Woozi's advice to heart and started playing a few chords, letting the music flow. Hours passed as I experimented with different melodies, rhythms, and harmonies. It felt like coming home after a long journey.
By the time I looked up, the sun had set, and the studio was bathed in the soft glow of the city lights outside. I saved my work and decided to call it a day. As I gathered my things, I noticed a piece of paper on the desk with Woozi's handwriting.
"Don't overthink it. Just create. – Woozi"
I smiled, feeling a bit more at ease. Maybe this was a chance to rediscover my passion and figure out the mystery that was Woozi. I left the studio, eager for what tomorrow would bring.

On my way out from work, I bumped into Joshua and Vernon. "Haru ? You're still here !" Vernon sounded happy to see me. I greeted them both. "Did you get accepted back to work ? We all missed you so much" Joshua with his weak voice, makes me feel weak too. I shook my head "I did not.. uhh Im just taking my stuff back and return something. Did you guys going to practice now ?". I still cant bring myself to tell them that I just get to work with Woozi because I know it will make a huge mess.
Both of them shook their head and Vernon looked at his watch "We just got off from practice early. Only performance team have to stay back to practice their new choreography for their unit's song". I nodded, but I don't know why I thought about Hoshi just now. I looked at my watch aswell "I gotta go now, tell them I said hello. I wished to meet them again.." I smiled weakly. Vernon and Joshua understood by what I said.
After I walked away from the building, someone called me out. And it's a familiar voice too, I looked up and see this person approaching me.
"Haru, how are you ?"
