hi ilysm
The U.S. Trip was cut shorter than I thought. We only stayed for about three days before we went back home. My mum kept saying something about an award show coming up that she had been invited to. She's probably taking my dad.
"- and Harmony, your doctor called. She said you should come in for an ultrasound soon," mum said, placing the home phone back on the receiver.
"Every ultrasound we ever went to, your mum cried," dad said from the couch with his book, his glasses nearly falling off of his nose. "Of course the first one is very emotional, but she cried at every single one."
"Shut up, Edward," said mum as she threw a pillow at dad. He just laughed and continued on with his book.
Christian and Cris came back downstairs with the last box of stuff from Cris and I's room with exasperated expressions.
"Yay," I cheered. "Now take them to the car."
"Why can't you help us again?" Cris asked.
"Cause I'm carrying your child. Now chop chop. I would love to move in tonight," I said with a big smile. Jean-Louise sat beside me on the bar stools.
"And why can't you help. I know you aren't pregnant," Christian said, frowning at her girlfriend.
"I am helping! I'm moral support."
"I'm calling bull-"
"Hey! No cursing in this house," dad said loudly making us jump at the loud boom of his voice.
Christian huffed and grabbed a box, making her way out the door. I just laughed as Cris followed.
"We should go baby shopping," Jean says. I have her a look and she pouted. "Oh please, Harmony. Dad can get is security. We won't even have to drive."
"I don't like having other people take time out of their day just to watch over me."
"Then let's go. Just you and me."
"Jean -"
"Cmon, H, I'm gonna be an auntie. I wanna get this kid some stuff."
"You don't even know the gender, I don't even know the gender," I exclaimed.
"So. Gender neutral. Duh."
I sighed in defeat. She always had some type of answer to any question. "Fine."
"Yay!"

Jean's bought a lot of stuff. Like, a whole lot. I didn't know this much gender neutral stuff existed for babies.
When we arrived back at home Cristen was in the living room with the rest of the men in my family, so I made my way to the patio with the women. My mum was the first to greet me.
"How was shopping?"
"Not as bad as I thought. It was nice."
She smiled. "I'm gonna be a grandma. How old am I?" She jokes.
"Oh, you aren't, mum. You look as young as me," I said. Which was true. My mum looks very young, and hopefully I age like her.
"Oh please. Your father tells me that so I know it's a lie."
"Dad wouldn't lie to you."
"Oh," she laughs. "You don't know your father like I do. About my looks, he would."
"You look beautiful," I said. "The end."
She rolls her eyes. "You know, if you ever need help, with anything, you can come to me and your father. He may be a little hot headed, but only when he comes to his kids. Remember that, okay, Harmony? You're our oldest daughter. Even if you weren't ours first."
I smiled. "Thanks mum. I know, and I love you, too. You and dad."
"Hello, hello."
My mum and I turned around and I groaned internally at all the men who came out of the house. They were loud and rowdy; usually the noise doesn't bother me, but I guess it's hormones.
"Noise? I had that too." Aunt Brittany says to me. "Guys, keep it down please."
"Sorry," Cristen says, sitting on the lawn chair with me. He placed a kiss on my cheek and laid down. "We finished moving everything. That kid in there has got lots of clothes." He says poking my side. I smile.
"I know, Jean and I went shopping earlier."
"Yeah? Had fun."
"Eh, when my feet started to hurt we came back."
He smiles and grabs my hand, placing a kiss on the back of the palm. "I've got good news."
"Yeah?"
"Mhm," he hums. "Got another job."
"Really?!"
"Yep. A real good one too. It's at this plant, but don't worry. It's super safe and I get paid twenty quid an hour."
"I'm so proud of you! Oh my gosh, Cristen! This is so great!"
"I know. I start Monday. I figured the sooner the better. Because we won't have any bills cause your parents own that place we're staying in and plus, we have a little family now. Need to support my girl and my baby."
