Everyone took a moment to recollect themselves for the final hour of classes. Some took to their social media on HoloLink, posting about their plans for the summer while others triple-checked their applications for academies.

Much was on Kai's mind. From the video of All Might to his memory of fighting Vosk, it all revolved in his mind like a hotel door.

I have some exciting news to share. I've heard from a reliable source that a new hero school is being established in Upstate New York. It's called United Hero Academy, or UHA, and it has a legacy spanning for a while. It originally was founded during World War 2 but  the school itself has recently undergone extensive remodeling to incorporate the latest technology and facilities for the new enrollees."

The room buzzes with excitement and curiosity. Mr. Takahashi lets the chatter continue for a moment before raising his hand for silence.

Mr. Takahashi:

"UHA is opening its entrance exam applications early this summer. This is a rare opportunity for those of you aspiring to be Pro Heroes."

Kai's heart skips a beat at the mention of UHA.

He had heard whispers about the school but didn't know it was opening so soon.

Mr. Takahashi's eyes find Kai, and he smiles encouragingly.

Mr. Takahashi:

"Mr. Najima, I think you should consider applying. Your unique perspective and dedication could make you a strong candidate."

Before Kai can respond, Jace cuts in, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Jace Davenport:

"(Cackles loudly) That's cute, but I think we all know who the first pick will be. I mean look at me and my good-looking girlfriend Scarlett! We're practically guaranteed spots."

Scarlett beams, clearly enjoying the attention. The other students murmur in agreement, and Mr. Takahashi raises an eyebrow.

Mr. Takahashi:

"Mr. Davenport, confidence is important, but so is humility and hard work. Let's use this as a teaching moment. What qualities do you all think are most important for a hero to possess?"

The students hesitate, and Mr. Takahashi looks around the room, finally resting his gaze on Kai. Kai shifts uncomfortably, knowing that if he answers, Jace will likely have something to say. But the silence grows heavy, and Kai feels a surge of determination.

He stands up, his voice steady but passionate.

Kai Naijima: "A hero should have courage, integrity, and a genuine desire to help others. It's not about who you know or where you come from. It's about what you do when faced with adversity. A true hero inspires others and makes sacrifices for the greater good."

The room falls silent, the students hanging on Kai's every word. Even Mr. Takahashi looks impressed, nodding in approval. Kai continues, feeling a fire igniting within him.

Kai Naijima: "United Hero Academy might be prestigious, but the title of a hero isn't given, it's earned. It's earned through every action, every decision, and every time you choose to stand up for what's right, even when it's hard. That's what being a hero means to me."

Mr. Takahashi smiles warmly, clearly moved by Kai's speech.

Mr. Takahashi: "Thank you, Kai. That was inspiring. I think we all needed to hear that today."

He glances at the clock and then back at the class.

Mr. Takahashi: "I think we'll end a little early today. Take some time to think about what Kai said and how you can apply it to your own lives and aspirations."

The students gather their things, the usual clamor subdued as they process Kai's words.

As Kai heads for the door, Mr. Takahashi stops him with a gentle hand on his shoulder.

Mr. Takahashi: "Kai, you have the heart of a true hero. Don't ever forget that."
