Rheya may have only known Mona for a week, but strangely it seemed like she had known Mona for weeks.

Rheya has a habit of observing this without realizing it when she meets new people around her. The first thing she observed was the person's appearance, then moved on to the way they spoke, then moved on to body language.

The first time Rheya saw Mona with a sweet appearance. At the campus festival, Mona wore a turquoise pleated skirt and white T-shirt. Casual, but still stylish. At the second meeting, Rheya had a little difficulty dealing with Mona's polite language and soft voice. However, at the third meeting, Mona turned into an annoying new student. The sweet, polite and gentle impression of the two previous meetings was gone.

Rheya thinks this annoying attitude is Mona's true nature. But she was wrong, because every time she observed Mona's body language when she spoke, her fingers would secretly twist her skirt. Sometimes Mona wrung her fingers in scared.

Rheya still remembers that Mona insisted on liking Kak Adit, but just now, Mona said she would let Kak Adit go on the condition that:

"Why do you want to be our bestie?" Rheya asked, folding her arms across her chest.

They sat in the Rubel library room. Rheya was side by side with Eri and Fara who sat flanking her, while Mona sat alone like a suspect being questioned by three investigators. And, Pinot didn't join them, because his math class was still in session.

At first they had no intention of taking Mona to Rubel, but Mona was like a duckling following the group, Mona even offered to give her a lift in her car. Rheya refused because there were four of them (including Pinot) and Mona's sedan could not accommodate them. As a result, they got on the bus—along with Mona too.

If Mona was annoying she would definitely complain about the heat - being jostled when riding the bus, but sweet Mona didn't complain at all. Mona's face even looked happy. Does Mona have a split personality?

"You can be besties. Why can't I be besties with you guys?"

"We're friends with everyone," Rheya said, still acting nice.

"I don't want to be just a friend."

Eri scratched her neck which didn't itch, whispering next to Rheya. "How come the language is ambiguous, huh?"

Rheya understood what Mona meant, but the words Mona said sounded ambiguous. Friends and besties are different in closeness. Friends are only involved in the same activities, while besties are the closest friends who accept us as we are.

    "We're not that close yet."

"We can take it slow. I'm a patient person." Mona persuaded.

"Okay." Rheya doesn't give up easily. "Choose me to be your bestie or keep approaching Kak Adit?"

"Be your bestie!" Mona chose quickly. Impatient. It seemed she had changed her aim.

"In order to achieve your other goals, you dumped Kak Adit. After getting your goal, it's my turn that you throw away."

Eri's head shifted closer to Rheya's shoulder, her voice whispered, "Your language is more ambiguous, Rhe."

Rheya let out a small breath, whispered back in a deep voice, "I know too. Don't know why I even followed her?”

"Maybe she's just pretending to be our bestie, after she succeeds she can easily approach Kak Adit. One bullet can kill two deer at once.”

    "You mean I'm a deer?"
