Camellia 5: Inventory was the excuse to use

Inventory was the story....
To start.....

Month end, for many a big day....
Pay check time
For others....

Inventory time!

Had ready and prepared the files to call out the numbers, and revise raw material to reorder and replenish inventory, packaging and finished products and goods.

So, like in a bingo room, numbers and names were called out and INVENT4 was born and a new schedule created.

New for me, new job was assigned...
Helping with the numbers, stock to reorder, learn how to reorder. Start new business ties with suppliers....

Soon the company demanded a food safety program. Visiting and creating a trial to follow from purchasing to the final product safe practices was needed.

But

First, the words that resonated in my mind, the numbers that had a double meaning, flirting in its own way, like calling the devil, and insinuating a night full of lust and sin, leaving everything behind....literally......

We looked forward for every month end, having gathered enough information that will keep us working on updating the system, purchasing and storage of the goods.

INVENT4 was created - inventory file updated on the 4th week of the month, in other words month end inventory.

It was good for my English, somehow practicing calling the numbers in English and the names assigned to the tea blends, creative names given to the tea blends and why not, some garden estates.

The magic numbers....

Due to the increasing demand of these teas to be sold and packed, we needed to introduce: by law, new regulations for safe packing to guarantee the finish product quality.

Got sent to attend curses and seminars regarding these processes. A food safety and packaging manual was created and got ready for auditing of these processes on site.

Certification on manufacturing and safety were provided and the same, requested from our suppliers were accomplished.

Travelling to visit new suppliers was the new excuse to keep in touch.

Soon Andrew and I became travel companions and got used to think in the same ways and come down in agreement to the future forecast of keeping up with the inventory going down because of the demand on the finished goods.
