We walk up to Wren's house. "so, is this the place?" I say

"Yeah, it is. Let's just get inside before anyone recognizes us," Jack says

I knock on the door, and Wren opens the door. "Hey, you made it come in," Wren says

We go inside. "so, where are your parents?" Jack says

"They're at work right now. They'll be home in a few hours," Wren says

"So, is it just you right now?" Jack says

"My cousin Mike is visiting for a few weeks, so he's here," Wren says

"Is he still into fantasy?" Jack says

"Yeah, and it's even worse than before," Wren says

"What do you mean by that?" I say

"Oh, he thinks Dragons and other mythical creatures are real and sometimes thinks he is one," Wren says

"Well, that's interesting," I say

"Once you get to know him, he's alright," Wren says

"Thanks again for helping us out," I say

"It's no problem. I know that Carl is full of crap," Wren says

"Anyway, I'm going to take James to meet Mike," Jack says

"Alright," Wren says

Jack takes me to a room down the hall. "James, prepare yourself," Jack says

"I'm ready for anything," I say

Jack opens the door, and I see a bunch of posters of mythical creatures. "Mike, how are you doing, dude?" Jack says

"Jack, it's been so long since you've been here. Who's this?" Mike says

"This is my best friend, James. We've been through thick and thin, and he's always had my back," Jack says, a warm smile on his face.

"Jack, why are you wearing that choker around your neck?" Mike says

"Oh, that I'm just trying a new style. You like it?" Jack says

"Yeah, it's cool," Mike says

"What got you into this kind of stuff?" I say

"Wren showed me this video of a dragon burning down someone's backyard. It was cool," Mike says

"Oh, that's interesting," I say

"I forgot to mention Mike is a bit of a pyromaniac," Jack says

"I see that," I say

"We're going to step out for a minute," Jack says

Jack takes me out of the room. "oh no, he knows about me burning down Mitch's backyard," I say

"He doesn't know it was you. He just knows that it was a dragon," Jack says

"Yeah, I don't want Mike finding out about my powers," I say

"Same here, but he doesn't suspect anything, so we should be fine. We just can't make any mistakes," Jack says

"So what's the plan?" I say

"We lay low, and we to find a way to expose Carl for his lies," Jack says

"How are we going to do that?" I say

"I'll talk to Wren. Maybe he has a plan," Jack says, leaving.

I go back into Mike's room. "Hey James, I wanted to ask you something," Mike says

"Sure, what's up?" I say

"You ever dealt with a bully before?" Mike says

"Yeah, I have," I say

"People think I'm weird for believing in this kind of stuff, so I get bullied for it," Mike says

"I'm sorry to hear that," I say

"Yeah, I just wish a dragon would help me," Mike says

"Well, how about I help you instead? I'm a decent fighter," I say

"You'd do that for me?" Mike says

"Of course, I don't like bullies, so I'd be happy to help you," I say, reiterating my willingness to support Mike.

"Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll show you where they are tomorrow," Mike says

Jack comes into the room. "James Wren wants to talk to us," Jack says

I leave the room. "so what does Wren want to talk to us about?" I say

"I think he has a plan for us to expose Carls's Lies," Jack says

We go into the living room. "So what's the plan, Wren?" I say

"I don't have one," Wren says

"Seriously, nothing?" I say

"Carl is good at hiding his tracks. I can't find any information on him," Wren says

"We'll figure out something tomorrow, so where will we sleep?" Jack says

"With me, my room has a few extra beds," Wren says

"Why does your room have extra beds?" I say

"I don't know. Ask my parents. They're the ones who put the extra beds in my room," Wren says, taking us to his room.

We go into Wren's room, and he has an excellent computer on his desk. "Wow, nice computer," I say

"Thanks, it's how I get most of my information on people anyway. You guys get some rest; I'll try to find some dirt on Carl," Wren says

I lay on one of the beds. "well, this is our new home; hopefully, things will be calmer here," I think as I fall asleep.
