chapter 7: coronation

Carlos pov

That night we went over our plan to steal the wand.

"Okay, we all know what this looks like. So it'll be up on the dais under the beasts spell jar, and we'll be coming in from here. Me and Carlos will be in the very front. You two will be up in the balcony. Okay." Mal stated.

Jay spoke, "Okay, so I'll find our limo, so we can break the barrier and uh get back on the island with the wand."

Mal nodded, "Perfect. Evie?"

"Yeah," Evie replied.

"You use this to take out the driver. Two spraye and he'll be out like a light." Mal frowned and gave Evie the perfume bottle.

Evie nodded as we all started to walk away, when she peered over Mals shoulder.

"M? You want to break Ben's love spell?" Evie gasped.

Mal nodded, "Yeah. You know, for after. I don't...I've just been thinking, you know, when the villains do finally invade auradon, and begin to loot and kick everyone out of their castles and imprison their leaders and destroy all that is good and beautiful, Ben still being in love with me just seems a little extra...cruel. I'll make you one to Carlos, to give to y/n.

I sighed and layed back on my bed. Tomorrow we took over auradon.

The next day we me Evie, and Jay arrived to the Auradon Catherdral, where the coronation was being hosted at. Jay and Evie went to find there seats on the balcony and I went to find mine in the front row next to y/n.

"Hey." She said grabbing my hand and pulling me onto my chair.

"Hi." I smiled.

We sat there for awhile talking about stuff, and waiting and waiting and waiting before I remembered I had to give her the anti-love potion (that was in the form of a mini chocolate cake).

"Hey um I have something for you!" I nervously laughed.

"For me?" She smiled.

I nodded, "Yeah it's just for later, you know when you need all that energy."

"Thanks!" She giggled. Then without warning she took a bite.

"No!" I gasped.

She shot me a confused look, "What was I not supposed to eat it yet?"

"Uh...do you...feel anything different, do you still...uh have special feelings for me?" I almost whispered.

She tilted her head, "Not sure, but just let the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect."

I sighed, "Okay....WHAT?" I almost yelled.

She started to giggle and looked away.

"You knew?" I said playfully swatting her shoulder.

"That you put me under a love spell, yeah I knew." She smirked.

I worriedly tried to explain but she shushed me. "It's fine! I mean you had a crush on me, and you thought that I could never love you, and you didn't trust it could happen on its own. Am I right?"

"Yes, totally, your so right!" I lied. "So how long have you been faking it."

"Well I found out on our first date, all spells wash away in the Enchanted Lake. And I haven't been faking anything." She said kissing my cheek. I blushed.

Finally, I saw Mal enter and take her seat and the ceremony started.

The choir started to sing and Ben walked in. I looked up at Jay and Evie and nodded, then to Mal. Ben kneeled infront of the fairy godmother to get crowned.

She placed a golden crown with sapphire gems on his head and she picked up the wand.

"Do you solemnly swear to govern the people's of Auradon a with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign." Fairy godmother spoke.

Mal looked at me, "I do." Ben declared.

Fairy godmother smiled. "Then it is my great honour to pronounce you-"

"NOW!" Mal shouted.
