Okay, it's finally time to throw out a trigger warning: Blood; self-destructive behavior, abuse of power; suicidal thoughts.
(Still, I enjoyed writing this chapter A LOT ^^)

---

We all walk on the same globe. Only that our routes are different. But in the end, everyone's destination is always the same. The so-called meaning of life? It is to die.

---

The next day starts with a solid headache. But after a shower Megumi at least feels fresh again. Even if he somehow can't quite get rid of that charred smell.
The bathroom is the only room that hasn't suffered any damage and still looks the same, except of the flooding behind his bathtub. The rest of the apartment, however... let's not talk about that... Megumi will deal with it later. After sleeping most of the day, it's time for his second shift at the 'Unholy!'. And if his head wasn't so full and so empty at the same time, it might have leave him more nervous. What else is supposed to shock him even more now? It's so sad that it almost makes him laugh.

Strangely enough, his shift passes without any special incidents. A couple of guys asking for his number and one who gets a bit too pushy have been the worst of it. Luckily Haruta is not in sight today to cause him any trouble, and so the work even distracts him a little from all his worries at home.
Well, until a potential problem arises towards the end of his shift, and Megumi has already wondered about his whereabouts, but has forbidden himself to think about it any further.

„Boubon, please." Sukuna orders, leaning causually at the counter, making Megumi jump, because he didn't see him approach. He is wearing a smile and a kind of bathrobe that is wide enough open, that Megumi can take a glimpse of his tattoos decorating his taut chest.
He forces himself to only look him straight in the eyes and to remain completely impersonal and formal. In the end, he is just a customer, right? And they should urgently keep a distance from whatever that was between them yesterday. Not to mention that Megumi is already mentally at his limit today.

„Coming right up, sir", the boy replies politely.
Sukuna watches him as he takes a glass and fills it with a shot of whisky. As he hands it over, the man looks him in the eyes with a raised eyebrow.
„What's that supposed to be? I want a drink, not a taste. Fill the glass."

With a frown Megumi takes the glass back and pours in more liquor.
Stay polite and formal. That's the first commandment in this job', he thinks to himself.
He keeps glimsing up at Sukuna, expecting him to stop him at some point, but the man just grins until the whisky almost overflows.
With a wry look, Megumi offers him the brim-full glass again. „Good?"

Sukuna's grin grows bigger before he takes a big gulp and Megumi has to force himself to look away again, as Sukunas Adam's apple vibrates slightly, while swallowing. Even though it demands a lot from him, not to stare like a lecher...
„Outstanding!" Sukuna finally answers with an ambiguous expression. „And the whisky isn't bad either!"

Stay formal... Stay normal... And don't forget to breathe!
Megumi can't help. An awkward smile creeps onto his face and he can't stop it. It's not the first time he's heard this poor kind of chat-up lines. After all, he often enough had to deal with Satoru Gojo, who is the undisputed master of poor chat-up lines. And with him or anyone else he could brush everything off without batting an eyelid. But these mushy remarks coming from Sukuna? They hit the target!

Nevertheless, he should be careful after this confusing situation from yesterday. Sukuna is up to something, and he certainly is not in his position for nothing. And first of all Megumi must remember that Sukuna knows his surname. If his interest has anything to do with his past, he has to be very careful. This hotplate is way too hot to touch...
