Note: Sukuna has been a little too soft for my taste lately. We're going to change that now :P
And TW: From now on, the plot is getting 'serious' #blood #violence

>>Mayday, we've been sinking here slowly
Turning into something unholy
Running away from the same sins
This is a place heaven's not been
Eyes shut wide and going in boldly
You and I can never be holy
Don't be surprised what the night brings
When you search the dark, you get dark things<<
Lyrics: „dark things" by Starset

With the next few days off, he finally has a chance clear up the chaos in his life a little. Well, at least the chaos inside his apartment. An insistent need keeps Megumi's his hands moving, just to protect his head from bursting. That's why he simply renovated his entire apartment. It was a welcome distraction, but more importantly: it was necessary. Especially after the massacre his best friend had left him for his birthday after her so-called surprise party, that basically felt more like a declaration of war.
What was that saying again? With friends like these, who needs enemies?
Yeah, and while he's thinking about it, it's maybe time to buy a new punching bag. Another thing necessary after Satoru had dumped his old one without his permission. This guy has been like that since Megumi met him. Always bossing around, always patronizing him. Fortunately, those days are over now and Megumi could just as well turn his living room into a full-blown martial arts training hall if he felt like it.
After repairing the water damage as best he could, replacing the shelves and curtains, and repainting every wall, the boy stands quietly in front of his finished work, surveying the freshly renovated rooms. He wipes his sweaty forehead with the back of his hand and exhales slowly. Quite a good job, especially for someone who's always had two left hands when it comes to this kind of stuff. Then again, it wasn't like he had much of a choice. Hiring a handyman was out of the question, he simply couldn't afford it. He'd been left with no option but to teach himself, as he always had. There was no father around from whom a boy should normally learn such things, who could show him the basics or pass down his set of tools along with years of know-how.
And Satoru? Well, with the best will in the world, this man has all thumbs for fingers and a servant for just about everything. Even if he'd offered to help, Megumi is fairly certain he'd have ended up fixing even more damage. He is far better known for creating chaos than for cleaning it up.
But whatever. Megumi wouldn't have asked him for help anyway, for many reasons that he is tired of listing. And as he keeps looking around, he realizes that it's not even a bad thing. Because what he has managed to do on his own is quite respectable and something to be proud of, right?
But why doesn't that feeling last long? He starts to sense the wave building up in his head again. Dark and unstoppable. The most important thing is that he doesn't come to a standstill to avoid whatever wants to see him break.
He is already thinking about what to do next. Anything to keep moving. Anything to stop himself from slowing down long enough that his thoughts and feelings have time to catch up and overrun him. But... he is tired.
He hasn't heard from Sukuna for two days straight, and it's really messing him up. And then he wants to punch himself for feeling this way. They just started dating... if you could even call it that way. So why does it ache like this? It feels like he is not capable of breathing without this man. Please, how stupid is that? They're not even together! And even if they were, why does it bother him at all? Maybe because it was Christmas day and maybe because the man could have had a date with someone else?
