'In a real fight, I will kill you...'

Megumi swallows hard, but then remembers that Sukuna loves to tease him. He looks at him, waiting for him to burst out laughing or soften his grimace, as he always does when he just wants to scare or unsettle him, but his expression remains deadly serious while his gaze is fixed straight ahead.

He said he will. Not he would. Does that mean that it's just a matter of time? Not a question of 'if', but 'when'?

Megumi exhales an immense amount of pressure. But it doesn't help one bit, it only constricts his chest even more. When they stop, he stares at the elevator door in front of him. Just like the other one, this one also seems to have melted into the wall. The door almost disappeares and can only be found if you look really closely. Sukuna calls the lift with his handprint and as the double door slowly slides open, Megumi notices the cold sweat all over his body and his racing heartbeat. What he also notices is the stare from next to him. Sukuna searches for his gaze, literally burning holes into his cheek, while waiting for him to react. But the boy doesn't manage to look him in the eyes.

Why not just run away? Maybe it's not too late!

The voice of his conscience becomes louder than the one that has already fallen for Sukuna, reminding him that this isn't exactly the Cinderella fairytale story, he's dreaming of.

It's still quite possible that Sukuna has no good intentions. Actually, it seems probable. Men are monsters. Especially influential men... He knows this better than anyone else.

Every time his sister was taken out, Megumi had asked her to text him every hour. Exactly for this reason. Just to make sure she was okay. Once or twice he'd also had to save her from a date, when the guy was either too slimy or when he became gropy.

But when it comes to his own safety, however, he has not made any precautions. He hadn't even told anyone that he was coming home late today, but right... it's not like someone is waiting for him anyway...

Maybe under normal circumstances he would have at least told Nobara about his date, but he was still far too angry at her and doesn't want to see or hear from her in the near future.

He is a master at not taking the potential dangers to himself seriously enough. It has always been like this. And perhaps that will be his downfall sooner or later. Presumably much sooner than he would prefer...

Sukuna clicks his tongue, while he gives the on the spot frozend boy a gentle push. „After you, please."

Megumi has neither the time nor the strength to resist. And when he blinks the next time, he finds himself inside the elevator, frightened and with a really terrible gut feeling.

Right after the doors are closed, the room suddenly seems so oppressively small that he can hardly breathe. Are the walls getting closer? Why does it feel like my lungs are filling with cement? Oh no, please, no, am I getting claustrophobic?! That wouldn't be good at all! Hyperventilating now would probably be the worst thing that could hap-

He can't finish the thought. Sukuna suddenly appears right in front of his view, jamming the boy between the wall and his muscular torso and his face comes so close that their lips brush.
