chapter 2: a horrible birthday

i finnally went home after half an hour of paper work and payments, wich was a struggle cause my parents are still in prison. But we figured it out eventually. 

then i realised that i had nowhere to sleep. as on que esp started talking:"hey, want to sleep at my place, since you otherwise have to sleep alone, or with your sister.""sure, i just wanted to ask anyway." i said with a sigh of relief. "unless your parents get freed before tonight ofcourse." she said quickly after that. 'i don't want that. i want to sleep at her place, her parents are way nicer than mine. pleace. i don't want to go to my house.' "yeah ofcourse" i said even though i really hoped that that wasn't gonna happen.

after a walk of about 15 minutes we arrived at esp's house. we walked in and i got bombarded with people, friends and esp's family, saying happy birthday all around me. i suddenly felt my body getting trapped in a pair in arms. they were tightening and i felt myself being turned around. and i was met with the green eyes of my worst fear. Neo. that that fucking bitch desided to turn up to my fucking birthday! i tried to scream something but was met with a hand over my mound. "after al this time, you're still so so beautiful." i tried to punch him but couldnt get my hand out of the embrasse he still had me in.

"what are you doing here!" i heard esp screaming. "you're mother invited me, thank you for welcoming me, maybe try and " his sentence was cut short with a punch on his nose. he emmidiatly let me out of his hands and i stumbeld back from the suddennes. "im gonna only ask you once. Get. out. of. my. FUCKING HOUSE!" every one in the room was met with suprise. esp never ever scolded. but the suprise was cut short with the stupid voice of neo. "what a very welcoming house, ill gues i should leave now, shouldn't i?" he looked at esp with a smirk on his face knowing he had won, actually. thats what he tought. i was finnaly over the shock and trew a punch at his face, right on his nose. it immediatly started bleeding but i didn't care. "first you fucking make my live a hell." i said while trowing another punch to his face. "and the you fucking turn up to my birthday!" after this i trew several more punches to his face. but after a few punches i felt someone grab my arm from behind. "calm down estrella, let him leave. then you dont have to see him" it was esp. i calmed down a bit. but was still extremely mad. i wanted to turn around but was met with esp preventing me from doing it.

"look, i know you're mad. but hitting him over and over is not gonna help that. let him leave and then we can just eat some cake and then maybe just go on a walk or something." "yeah thats probably a good idea" i only now noticed the entire room was staring at me. i wispered in to esp's ear: "maybe scrap the cake eating, theres a lot of people." she quickly nodded and lead me to the door trough the crouded living room. i said some quick goodbyes and thank you's and most people understood why i wanted to leave. then we left. by that time it was already 11 am. "i have a suprise for you later", i looked at here confused but shrugged my shoulders. "oaky?"

we walked for about half an hour and then we reached a beach. esp began running to the sea and i followed her, quickly catching up to her. we ran while laughing. i felt my food sink in the sand and esp saw it. i started falling but bumped up to someone. i felt our lips connect when i bumped up to the person, i feld like there where a million butterflies in my stumach and it was the best i had ever felt. but the other person immediatly stepped back, letting me fall. when i sad up i saw an extremmely flustered esp. "sorry, i didnt mean to and" "its fine estrella, you just stumbeld." i stood up and we walked the last bid, now standing with our feet in the water. my feet, and entire body, still looking purple for me.

"lets go to the suprise!" esp sudenly said in a cheerful tone. i jumped up from the suddennes but said sure. after a short walk she broke the akward silence we had. "you gotta wear a blindfold" she said, not as a question but as a must. "uh sure, why tho?" i asked in a questioning tone. "you'll find out." she said while losely knotting a blindfold around my head. she grabbed my hand and started walking. and even though the hand was to lead me, i stil felt a miljon butterflies. 'is this love? i dont think so, its not what i felt for neo. but i didnt actually love him, right?'

"where here" she said after dropping my hand. she started untying the blindfold and after way longer then it should have taken it fel to the ground. when i opened my eyes i was met with a beautifully laid out picnic blanket. she said down one side and motioned for me to sit down at the other. she opened the boxs that was in the middle of us and reavealed some sandwiches and fruit. she looked over the sandwiches and looked mad, frustated and annoyed at the same time. "my mother made them al with ham. i think she forgot you dont like eating meat." "its fine i can eat it." i said before she was gonna feel guilty. "nope, i already knew she would probably forget something stupid, so i brought croissants." i smiled at here and we randomly burst out in laughter. after a few minutes we both calmed down and started eating the croissants.

We just ate in silence for a while. When we both were finished esp started talking: "we should head to the city to meet up with some friends now, otherwise we'll be late."
