chapter 5: im a what?

Finnally another upload, that only took way to long

As i finish the sentence, she looks at her husband, he nods and she turns back to me, before saying:

"Estrella, you're a goddes"

"Wait, im a what? This gotta be a mistake, im the furthest thing from a goddes." I asked in a confused tone, talking quite loudly. Esp looked like she just saw a ghost, and i probably didn't look any different. "Who are you guys even? where are we?"

"Im Quinty and this is jason, we are the owners of this tavern the educated lantern, you are in oldenhaven, wich is not on earth, its on the planet of eternity, or eternity for short, you came here like any god, at the age of 16, but we dont know what, uhm, esp was it right? is doing here" she said in a comforting tone, with a lot of patience noticable in her tone.

I slowly nod, confused as hell. "So how did i even get here? the last thing i remember is my body slowly fading away, and esp laying her hand on my shoulder. And then i woke up here." I say, confusion still very clear in my voice.

"Thats the transvering process, it happens to everyone that travels in between worlds, but you're the first one to bring a human with you, wich is interesting, but i guess she has to stay here now." Quinty said. "Tho it might be smart to send her back, you 2 should go to the castle, before she d" Before she could finish her sentens i corrected her: "Its they, they are non-binary." Quinty looked really ashamed but quickly regained her composure. "Im sorry i didn't know that, so as i was saying, before they die in this dangerous world, the monsters here dont like humans. But i won't send you 2 without proper training, and weapons of course. Lucas, could you get the things? thank you darling." As she asked that, the man, Lucas, that had stayed silent till now, stood up and went to some kind of backroom.

While Lucas was getting something the 3 of us left had a small conversation about the past day. Before Lucas returned, carying a bow and 2 daggers. They looked normal, like some 'ordinary' weapons. As Lucas walked over to me, he handed me the bow, and esp the daggers, as i touched the bow, it suddenly started to transform. Into a bow, with purple wood and stars at the end, it lit up, like it was an actual star. The light quickly filled the room, blinding everyone.

As the light started to dim i saw that the arrows also changed, to be made of the same purple wood, with the points made of the same star like material as the ends of the bow. I looked at it in complete aw, but i was also confused as hell, what had hapend? and why was this bow even handed over to me. Lucas and Quinty looked at each other, like they knew something we didn't. 

They looked both scared and relieved at the same time. "What's wrong?" I ask, almost in a whisper, growing more confused, the shocked and slightly scared expression of Quinty and Lucas didn't help either. 

"Its nothing, sweetheart. You 2 are probably tired, i'll get a room ready for you." She said before standing up and turning around. Leaving me and Esp with just Lucas. I was slightly nervous, something made him feel, weird. I couldn't point a finger at it tho. We sat in an uncomfortable silence for a few minutes, before Quinty returned. "I've made a room ready for the 2 of you, its the first door to the left upstairs, then you can go to bed and have a good night of rest."

Me and esp simultaniously nodded, "Thank you very much, we will head to bed now." Esp politly answered, before going standing up and heading to the stairs, and i quickly follow her. I had taken the weapons with us, i wanted to be ashured we had something to defent ourselfs in case something was indeed wrong with the man, even if we had zero clue how to use them. We quickly went into the room, still having some wierd feelings over the guy. 

As i look around the room i notice several things, it has a large window spreading across, a door, most likely leading to a bathroom, and 2 simple beds. I walk over towards one of the bed, kinda claiming it as mine, and put down my bow against the wall, my arrows next to it. Esp walks towards the other bed and lays her knife's down to. There were a lot of thoughts and feelings going trough my head, today had been a lot. I was feeling so, helpless, i had just heared i was a fricking goddess yet i felt so weak in this world, like i didn't belong here. Like i was just a simple puppet on a string, being controlled with my every step.

"Imma go to toilet" i say to Esp. Before doing exactly as i said, i just went to the toilet. I quickly return after i had washed my hands and collapse onto the bed, exhaustion suddenly caursing trough my body. Esp was already laying on her bed, seemingly lost in thought. I try to make my mind shut up so i can sleep, but even tho im really tired it just wont shut up. Normally i would get my phone out now, but fun fact, it did not get telleported with me. So i couldn't do that either. I just layed there for who knows how long before eventually i just fell asleep.

I wake up in the morning by a few beams of sunlight slipping trough the window. I tried to go back to sleep in the hope to wake up from this what i hoped was fever dream, even if i knew beter by now. But of course my stupid body wouldn't do that. I begrudjently sat up and stretched, i looked over to Esp's bed and found she wasnt there, she was probably already downstairs. I stood up and got the clothes that were on the chair. I was sure they weren't there yesterday but at this point i couldn't care less.

I took a quick shower and changed into the outfit. It was a white crop top with a white long skirt. I was starting to get used to the purple skin but i had noticed over the last few days that there were glowing stripes forming on my arms. I walked downstairs, and was met with the smell of waffles. If there was one thing i loved more then anything else in the world then it would be waffles. I spotted Esp sitting at one of the tables of the tavern, and i walked over to them. I sat down with a jawn.

"Goodmorning" I grumble tiredly to Esp. "Goodmorning" they respond happily to me, sounding fully awake. Quinty walked over to us, holding two plates of waffles. She smiled at us as she put them down. Im to tired to engage in social interaction with her and just start to eat my waffles. I feel like i could collapse any second from exaustion.

"I need to talk to you 2 about something" Quinty says as both me and Esp are eating. She pulls a chair towards her and sits down. "There is this guy haunting the town, he has been causing a lot of problems. Around town but every god refuses to help, saying they dont have time, we would like to ask you 2 to help us with this" I look at her for a few seconds and stop eating my waffels. "You wan't us, a goddess who knows nothing about this world and a normal human, sorry Esp, to fight a ghost?" I say before taking a sip of water. "I would say yes, but he's not a ghost, he's a god just like you."

I have been having a lot of fun planning out the future chapters of this and the follow up books, i bet you'll guys love them to.... (You really aren't) anyway my sleep scedule is ruined its 10 minutes past midnight right now.
