CHAPTER TWENTY ONE

You know you could have told me you're into Adrienne. All my efforts of trying to get her to notice me wouldn't have gone in vain. Queen uka whispered harshly into chisom ear in a disdain condescending voice.

They were all outside the chapel where chisom was baptized earlier on 

Ever since that  night Chisom spent at Adrienne's room,Uka knew something else was going on .

Because  all her efforts of spending alone time with Adrienne have proven fruitful less.

No matter any tactics she pulled either the king got in her way   or her elder Queen  Urehma finds a way to take her away 

But now that  the opportunity of finding out the truth has been presented itself to her she refused to let go. 

She looked at Chisom waiting for her to reply.

You know I'm still waiting for your answer, don't pretend as if you didn't understand my question  Queen uka said towards chisom with an impatient voice.

Looking over the cross of Jesus Christ in front of the chapel she felt at ease . They were all standing outside after her baptism was over.

Chisom didn't know how to pray of course , because in the eyes of the lord she is sinner and she  accepted it 

But giving up on Adrienne was something she is not ready to do .

Are you not married to the king queen uka ? chisom asked her , looking directly into uka eyes without fear or intimidation.

She has to admit sometimes queen uka terrifies her , but not to the extent of her being afraid if she was somehow confronted.

Queen uka looked at chisom unvarying gaze knowing fully well there's is nothing she could do anymore

This little imp has successfully captivated the almighty Adrienne Anne .

Just tell me if I still stand a chance ? Queen Uka asked Chisom genuinely, hoping Chisom would somehow tell her what she wanted to hear.

Chisom looked at queen uka strangely , how come she never knew uka was bisexual ? she had thought she was the only one with such feelings for Adrienne.

But it seems she had been wrong because she had been so invested in her own feelings, she never paid attention to someone else.

No, I am sorry but you don't have a chance. She answered uka while staring at her without any Shame or fear. 

Queen uka could see the unnerving devotion chisom has for Adrienne But how could this be possible? They've only just met a few days back.

But what can she do?  This is how life happens to you when you don't move faster on what you want.

Well I wish you both love and success Uka said towards Chisom 

Are you both done chit chatting ? Queen Urehma asked the both of them as she had been standing exclusively somewhere far away waiting for them to finish talking.

Yes we are done chisom answered as she began to walk towards their vehicle

Queen urehma looked at her second wife and sighed quietly 

Sometimes she wonder if uchendu knows what is going in the palace

She really wished she could tell him but it seems he knows already and he is keeping it from her.

Putting her in a position where  she has to wait when he is ok with sharing it with her.

Let go home uka queen urehma said to her second wife

Uka stared hard at Urehma, she felt this sudden urge to not obey her,  but the bossy attitude coming from Urehma is turning her on in a way she didn't expect.

She got to admit Queen Urehma is a beautiful lady so Disobeying her is out of the equation.

Uka looked at urehma a little bit before bowing down towards her as custom and tradition demands it 

I turned and walked towards the car with Queen Urehma walking behind me.

As we all piled up into the car , the driver started the car and drove out of the chapel.

I have been crying in my parents arms ever since I stepped foot in their home,  I never knew I had so many tears to let out .

Seeing my childhood home and my parents has evoked so many memories and past times I never knew were still inside me.

It has also solidified the fact that I have missed them so much .

No matter how long I had been alone I have come to realize that family is family

My parents and I had discussed what went wrong for the past how many years and I have made them realize where my romantic feelings lays 

My father at first was skeptical but along the way he has realized there is nothing he could do.

Besides I have given him a grandson and continuation of the bloodline, What I do with my life shouldn't be a worry to them .

I also have promised to keep in touch with them and call as much as possible 

But right now we are on our way back to the palace, I can't wait to see chisom because she has been on my mind all day long.
