"Liv we should hurry up, the event will start soon, this candles should stay there not here" I tell my friend Liv as I continue to arrange the daisies on the table and floor.
Today's Nathan's engagement and it is held in here, so these are the preparations. Victor told me that Nathan is his Kyle's and Hudson's friend so he want his friend's engagement to be super awesome.
"Everything ready" Comes Victor.
"Almost"
"Okay, now you should go and welcome guest, I'll finish the rest"
"Ok, sir" I joke and Victor laughs
"Good work, Isla"
"Thank you Victor" I say. "Uh can I ask you something?" I tell Victor.
"Sure"
"Will Hudson come too?"
"That I'm not sure" he answers me.
"Okay"
"But Kyle will" he surprises me when he says that.
"Really?!" I don't know why I'm excited.
"He just called me and said he's in California, he said he would never miss his best friend engagement for the world"
"That's so cool of him"
"Yeah"

"Hey broh, how have you been" it's the Nathan guy.
"Great, congratulations brother" Kyle who's standing next to me says.
"Thanks" Nathan's attention shifts to me then to Kyle and then back to me. I don't know what he's thinking.
"Hi" he acknowledges me.
"Hi" I give him a small wave.
"I don't recall inviting you here" Nathan muses and before I could answer, Kyle does that.
"This is Isla. She's Hudson's girlfriend" Kyle says.
"Well, ex girlfriend" I smile nervously at Kyle and I'm surprised that he's not shocked from the information I just told him. I wonder if he saw this coming.
"Oh" it's his only answer.
"I'm sorry to hear that" comes Nathan's response.
"It's alright" I say.
"Okay, see you guys later" Nathan pats Kyle's shoulder and leave.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know" Kyle says when Nathan disappears.
"We broke up the day you left, it's not a big deal anyway" I lie.
I miss Hudson sometimes. We went through a lot together, the goods the bad but I didn't know our five years of dating would end up like this. Sometimes I wish I wouldn't break up with him. But I think we needed this, our relationship was toxic.
"I'm sorry" Kyle says.
"You don't need to be, I'm fine now. It's a month already"
"He didn't tell me" Kyle says, disappointment is clear in his voice.
"I guess he had his reasons for not telling you"
"He doesn't take me as his brother, he doesn't tell me anything concerning him" I could see hurt crossing his features as he says this.
"I want the best for my young brother, I love him Isla, I wish he would see that" his voice breaks at the end and I feel bad for him.
"It's Hudson who chose not to see what we want for him and that isn't anyone's fault" I say.
